Re: Introduce Your Shop

Hello

I'm Claire of 'CandDCraftsGifts' the D is my mum Diane. We absolutely love to knit and opened our Etsy shop a couple of months ago and have made a few sales. We sell some hats and fingerless mittens but mostly love to make baby and children's clothes.

We have also sold at some local craft fairs  where we had mixed success but we enjoyed meeting and talking to new people!

I've been having a look at some of the Etsy Shops above and there are lots of lovely hand-crafted items that are being made!

Re: Introduce Your Shop

Hi everyone, my name's Anna, I'm from Sheffield, England. I started my shop as a way to make some extra money whilst my health is bad. I genuinely love crafting because it's something I can do without making said problems worse! Please feel free to take a look at my shop and let me know what you think :)

Hi everyone,
I am TheCraftieHubby. I make concrete, copper and wooden items. I have been into making things since I could walk. This is an extension of that desire to create within me. Like some of the others here I only got my shop up and going in the last few weeks. I have had some interest but no purchases as yet. Looking forward to the first one.

Re: Introduce Your Shop

Hi, Susan from Bayside Stitchery Shop here - https://www.etsy.com/shop/BaysideStitcheryShop.  Thanks for the invitation to join this community.  I make handstitched items, mainly cross stitched and needlepointed, from baby things to pillows to framed pictures.  I started selling a year ago and have had modest success - #visits/views per day have been slowing growing and a few sales each month.  For those just starting out - be patient and don't be afraid to change your listings (I've changed how I list items, photographs, etc as I've gotten more familiar with using the site).

I do have a question for the community - is there such a thing as too many listings in a shop?   I remember reading somewhere that the ideal number of listings is 30 but I find that very limiting as my items are individual (rare that I have more than one of any single item) and have items I haven't listed as I'm afraid it will put off potential buyers (too many things to look at).  Any advise?

The amount of care and detail you put into your items is obvious!  Good selection, too.
