Hi My name is Charleena and I started my shop a couple weeks ago. I've gotten views and some visits but have not gotten a first purchase. Anybody have any advice on what I can do.
Hi Charleena. My name is Sharese, new to Etsy Selling, owner of Ess Accents. I am experiencing a similar thing like yourself. I have read that the recommended amount of listings to start off with is 50 (this can vary by niche) because it allows buyers to have more of a variety to browse through. This is something that I am trying to work on, it may help you out as well.
Another thing that I am understanding is that content photos are king. Some of your photos have backgrounds that take away from your product. Since you are selling shirts, some buyers may want to see what they look like on a model. These are things I am also trying to take into account as I grow my store.
I hope this helps guide you in the right direction.
Hi Charleena.
I couldn't see your shop for some reason. But in general, to get sales have the best listings you can. Use all ten photo slots with good pictures. Use all 13 long tail tags that you can. Use eRank for free and figure out your SEO so you know what tags to use. Have a nice full description of your item. Once I hit 30 listings I got better sales, but the best quantity came after I hit 50 and I now average a little over 60 items. Be in facebook groups that allow you to post your shop. Share your photo's to your Instragram account or start one if you don't have one. Pinterest is huge too so share there too.
good luck,
