Made my own brayers

Here are two brayers I made by casting urethane rubber around a threaded rod and using a couple of extra handles I had in my scrap box. Am also casting new rollers for my small letterpress using the same liquid urethane. Had to create a positive in basswood and will make a plaster mold to cast the rubber.

The only images that appear in a post are the thumbnail image if you link to an Etsy listing.

Re: Made my own brayers

Hey Marion,
What inspired you to make your own brayer? Do they roll more smoothly? Just curious.
