Re: Where do we send Suporters, who are not makers?

Supporters can make public comment through their elected officials, thru the public comment link with the CSPIA, Chairman Henry Waxman and the Energy and Commerce COmmittee, The Mom's Rising link...

Send supporters all the links you have. The more comments heard the better... Public comment closes on Jan. 30th.

I will do some trolling and find you some links... maybe I could get some help... I don't know about you all but this can get exhausting!

Even though their businesses may not be in question, they may still very well be affected by these laws if they have children, grandchildren, are teachers, business owners etc. Remind them of that.

And then they can speak out against them just as any other person. You've already got a bunch of links!

even if they have nothing to do with kids, this affects them as taxpayers (schools will need testing fund) and as people living in society. (it will drive up expenses on everything else as well, and possibly increase the crime rate... a desperate mom will steal a coat or $$ to buy one, if there aren't affordable coats for her kid.)

I linked Etsy's media kit

http://www.etsy.com/storque/media/bunker/2009/01/CPSIA-Etsy-Resources.pdf

on my blog post because people were asking and and the storque article seemed general enough to help everyone.

Here's my blog, btw. The CPSIA post is at the top right now.

trinlayk, you're so right on. We haven't even talked about effects on day care centers, doctors' offices and hospitals, restaurants, playgrounds, public parks ... When you think about it, this law as it's written has the dire potential to crash the whole economy - recession or no recession.
