Hi everyone,
I make fabric dolls, which are small enough that a large tracking label would just be too awkward.
I read this from one of the links Mr. Cohen provided:
"Is the information ascertainable if I mark my product and packaging with a code and website address where all the required information can be found?
Yes, provided the name of a manufacturer, importer, or private labeler is also identified so a consumer without access to the internet can know whom to contact directly to also obtain the required information."
I started to think that most of the information that needs to be on the tracking label is already recorded each time I make a sale on etsy. In theory, I could make sure that each doll listed has the required info in the listing so that it would be saved in the sold items at the time of purchase. Since I make dolls up as they are ordered, the date of purchase would correspond to the manufacture date within a couple of days. I could also assign each doll a production number on a small tag with my name and etsy shop address. That would allow for a small tag, and the customer could find the rest of the needed information on etsy. Does this seem to be a feasible solution? If it is, perhaps it might work for others? Input would bee greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
