So let's make sure I have this right... :)

I thought I had this all figured out a year ago, and I've been sewing what I thought were FTC and CPSIA compliant tags into all my items, but now I'm wondering if I did it all wrong... It's time for me to order new tags and I wanted to double-check my information before doing so, and now I'm totally confused again. HELP!

** I combined the information for the two agencies onto one tag. I see that neither organization has said whether this is acceptable or not, which makes me nervous.**

I currently have two tags on my items (baby burp cloths, blankets, bibs, bodysuits, loveys). The first only lists my shop name and is really more for branding, I guess. It is sewn onto the item, and is not a "hang" tag per say. I realize it doesn't serve a function necessarily, and was considering getting rid of this one.

My second tag is the one I thought kept me compliant. If this needs to be split into two tags, or if I'm missing information, can someone please direct me?

Last question, I read in another thread that we can order FTC tags from Northwest Label (I think that's what it was called?). Can we also get CPSIA compliant tags from them?

Thanks!

It's northwest tag. You can get CPSIA compliant labels from them but they would be a custom label, I don't know what the price would be. I'll have one made after we move, because we are moving across the country.

As to can you combine the labels, we have never received an answer to that question. But I'm pretty sure it would be alright. Take a look at some ready to wear clothing in the children's dept at the store., preferably a large one. I think all of their information is condensed on one tag. They use an RN # so they don't even have to list their name and address. But this label would have to be custom ordred. NWTag.com could do this for you.

I would call the ombudsman and ask if you can do this. Then I would order the custom tag, and order your brand label.
