Is anyone explaining the CPSIA label requirements to their customers? I had to sew labels into my hats with the pertinent information and they seem large and unsightly. I thought maybe it was a good idea to add some brief explanation of the CPSIA labeling requirements to my invoice. Does anyone do this? What exactly would you put? Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Letting your customers know why the label?

I would not add an explanation sheet about the label.
That is what the label itself is for. It is self-explanatory.

Re: Letting your customers know why the label?

I agree with what you all have said about not explaining the labels. Seems that everything has labels in them. I probably notice more because it is something I had to put in the hat, but the buyer may think nothing about them. Appreciate all the advice.

By the way, after taking BarkingDogDesigns advice, I stayed up late last night creating some labels on microsoft word by creating a table. They came out great. I purchased the June Taylor printable fabric as well and printed a page of them today. They actually turned out really well. I took some of the scrap after cutting them and twisted and tried to rip them, the fabric holds up really well.
I did color fast and heat set them as the directions stated. I was able to get 54 labels on one sheet. They measured 1.25" x .85" each and they fold over, very small after folding over. I used the 5.5 font and it really is legible.
Thanks for all the helpful information.

Re: Letting your customers know why the label?

OP, thanks so much for starting this thread. I have been away from my crochet for some years now and thought about starting up with it again, but have been trying to learn as much as possible about this before deciding if it's worth it.
BarkingDogDesigns-awesome information. Thanks!
