My clothes that I make are O.K., but the furniture we sell is painted. Where do you go to have something tested? We use lead free paints and vanishes, but I do not want to be fined.
Remember that some labs will require you to send multiple samples of each batch of the finished product. Like jewelry any painted product not just furniture or toys is required to be tested by these labs as of now, unless the finishes you are using are on the exempt materials list. Children's furniture has other requirements associated with it's labeling and construction and things, depending on what type of furniture you are making.
