Felt exempt?

I haven't seen anything that says felt is exempt, but I don't know why it wouldn't be. Anyone know? Thanks.

Re: Felt exempt?

I would sure think so since felt is fabric, and fabric is on the exempt list.

Re: Felt exempt?

Most fibers are exempt, felt is made of fibers, therefore, felt is exempt. Threads are fibers, threads are exempt.

So how do you know if your felt is exempt? Is there a list somewhere?

Re: Felt exempt?

Bailey, it looks like you use Eco-fi for most of your items which as I understand it, is exempt.

Re: Felt exempt?

When you say exempt what do you mean? I make something with fabric for newborns. Do I still need a label if I am exempt?

Re: Felt exempt?

The exemption list is strictly for the lead testing portion of the law. It means that even if you can not get a certificate of testing from the manufacture the raw material does not need to be tested.
All other portions, including labeling, of the law still need to be followed.
