I am working my way through the "threading your way through the labeling requirements under the textile and wool acts" article and came across this sentence:
"Manufacturers should be aware that for certain products - including sheets, towels, comforters, handkerchiefs, scarves, napkins, and other "flat" goods - Customs requires identification of the country where the fabric was made."
So for those goods, FTC will accepted "made in the USA of imported fabric", but Customs would require, for example, "Made in the USA of fabric made in China".
I make scarves and also will be making quilts and blankets, and possibly napkins. I am in the USA and will only be selling to others in the USA. Do I fall under Customs regulations, or is that just if I am importing and/or exporting?
