National Bancrupcy Day is upon us.

This is what Rob Wilson wrote in the CPSIA central forum:

Kathleen Fasanella (see. www.fashion-incubator.com) has suggested public events take place on Tuesday. I think it is a great idea. I have added comments to my local State group (Massachusetts) to get an organized media event in Boston.

I am hoping that we will be able to have some kind of media event on Tuesday (2/10). Ideas include holding a press conference at a Toy Store (probably in Boston area) or even better a thrift store (we would need to find a willing participant). Or how about a funeral march from a store to a Congressman's/Senator's Boston office? (we would need to find a light/fake coffin).

Awesome idea! The funeral march to a senator's office would make a great public statement, and we'd have to make sure the media was informed so it would hopefully get on the news, kwim? I think if that's what we end up doing it should be to Senator Kerry's office, Kennedy's been ill since Inauguration Day and has been recuperating in Florida rather than attending to the activities in DC. I imagine most people knew that already though.

I really was not planning on being point person on this but I haven't seen any info on events happening yet and time is running short!
I don't think we can do the funeral thing unless we can find a really light weight coffin.

Please convo, email, call anyone you know who is affected and in the area. This won't work unless we have a good number of participants.
