Do your customers contact you as they can't figure out how to use Etsy

I recently had a customer and I have had a couple before this too who just can't figure out how to get around etsy and purchase something on it. They email me and want to buy direct. I try and explain how to do it but sometimes they think it is too hard and i was wondering if I am losing sales from customers who want to buy but it all gets too difficult if they are a bit 'green' in using an e-commerce site. Has this happened to you?

I've had a customer like this. He saw me at a show and wanted to get a gift for his gf. Because he hadn't discovered me through etsy and he knew exactly what he wanted, I had no problem just sending him a paypal invoice and running the sale that way. No big deal. :)

i think it does not matter wich online sale system you are working with.
etsy, ebay, amazon ... and so on a nd on...

there will be allways some people who can not figer how to and there are those people who do not want to join something if they found you over the search engine a nd just want to buy something quick and easy.

if we loose buyers? well, we never know but it is just too stressfull to spend too much time in think about that, you could even habe an brick and mortr store and probably could lose sales because you are on the wrong site of the street.

what we do not have we can not lose, but we can help if they let us know and being paciente w ith them. that works pretty well.

i had some people who did not wanted to join, i sold like
foxgloveaccessories with sending invoice over paypal. it worked.

I've had customers contact me - if they're an Aussie customer sometimes I will call them or get them to call me to walk them through it.

It makes me glad I put my name & email address in my profile!

I've met people at art festivals who don't want to join Etsy to make a purchase.. which is fine with me. They met me off Etsy so I will sell to them off Etsy..

However, if they contact me via Etsy I will send them this link.. it explains the checkout process really well!

I always put my email address as well as my etsy site on my business cards. Just in case.
