CPSIA and Etsy moaning

As the hype about CPSIA goes up in the Etsy community, moaning about Etsy shortfalls goes down.

This is an important business lesson, even if not intended. . . . people are easily distracted and hot topics can change instantly!

yeah - so many economic unknowns and now extra regulation - it all adds up and creates waves that can wash us off track!

I think (hope?) it's because the bigger problems prevail. This threatens a very significant portion of our community here at Etsy. I hope even people whose shops are not in danger will help us fight this. Mostly because it is the right thing to do as a fellow artist or crafter, but also because you never know whose industry will be targeted next. I hope we can band together as a community and make our collective voice heard.

Does anyone know what the larger manufactors of yarns, fabrics etc are saying about the new laws coming our way? Are they going to step up and help????? I am going ot start emailing etc asking questions.

I haven't forgotten about etsy shortfalls, but then again, I don't sell products for children.

It would be wonderful if the entire Etsy community could ban together and fight this new law!
