CPSIA - Flood CNN!?

Ok guys, every morning I watch CNN. They have such a HUGE focus on the economy right now, it's probably at least half of their broadcast at any given time.
Yet, I have never heard anything about CPSIA, which will have a huge impact if monitored, right?!
So while CNN is concerned about how Obama's new plan will really help, we have thousands of small businesses on the verge of going out of business because of this.
So I'm thinking, if we all send tips/story ideas to CNN about this, maybe they will cover it! If we can get information to the consumer, and if people realize they won't be able to go to the thrift store and buy their child a book and a dress, then we might see some action, right?!

Hopefully, if we all send in a tip or story idea about this, they will be so flooded with CPSIA info they might take notice.........I think it's worth a shot.
I didn't see any other thread about this, so if I missed it, then nevermind and rock on for having already done this.

I don't make children's items but I know if something like this were happening to my business, I would want to know people support me!

But I agree, I wuld hope supprt would be universal if something like this were to directly affet my industry...
A movement is only as strong as it's support!

But as a monther, I sure hope this changes, and quickly!

It's a thing on Obama's website where you can suggest your top ten "ideas for change" or something. The anti-CPSIA topic is currently #3, so there are plenty of people who are worried about it.

I've sent emails three times already to the Lou Dobbs program over the last few weeks, whenever something important seems to be added to the list affected areas. I haven't heard anything official yet, just a canned response that all emails are read and distributed to the proper person for review.

I'm hoping that if enough of us contact them they'll add it to their program. I'd LOVE to hear Lou's spin on this!!!

Ive been writing news stations all around here to no avail. Ive written the drudge report and bill oreilly. I did met a local reporter and will email her today!

OK! I sent mine. I sent one to Fox News a couple of days ago, no response and haven't seen a story yet. Too busy talking about the same stuff, different day. Shut the news off altogether last night.

nikkilee- once he is in office next week I think we should innundate him with emails and letters so that he is aware of the problem.
