Great powerpoint presentations from textile industry leaders as well as a video of the meeting.

I'm watching the video right now and it's very interesting. From just the introduction, it's obvious that the CPSC is just as frustrated with the law as we are and they are hearing from us artisans.

Hopefully they'll take all this info and make some smart excemptions.

I just watched the entire meeting video. Very interesting and informative. Thanks for posting the link.

I think Ms. Nord used the intro section to dig back at Waxman et al's letter telling her to get a move on and fix the mess they've caused. She was reminding everyone that the law is so tightly written there is little they can do before the 10th.

I really liked the Coats & Clark presentation. I think I will go out of my way to buy Coats & Clark products when I have the choice.

I haven't been able to watch the whole presentation yet but I think Ms. Nord cleared up what the next step needs to be. Basically she said that the CPSA's hands are tied and that the only way the law is going to get changed is if Congress changes it. So we need to do a couple of things. First, we need to give the CPSA the feedback they are asking for on testing. Second, we need to push our Congressman to change the law so that CPSA doesn't have to enforce something so drastic.
