AM I CRAZY?

I thought the CPSIA exempted materials made from cotton, wool, and silk for lead testing. Does this mean that the fabrics we buy from JoAnns and other places are ok to make toys from?

No, sorry, it's only the untreated cotton/silk/wool etc..

Re: AM I CRAZY?

If they're off white cotton, with sheep coloured wool stuffing they shoud be safe I guess;-)

Seriously, from what I understand, it's only the untreated natural product that is exempt. So if it's dyed, even with organic vegetable juice, it will need testing.
