2nd Blog In Suggestions and Volunteers

Since it seems many of us are interested in a second (and probably more) blog in, I thought I would start a new thread to collect ideas of what we should focus on as well as see if there are any volunteers out there who would be willing to help write.

I don't mind doing some of it, but unfortuantely we're going through a bit of a bad patch at the moment.

My toddler (2,5 yrs) fell and broke his collar bone on Friday which means that we've not been sleeping since and he won't be able to go to daycare for a few weeks until things heal. Thus, things are going to be a bit rough for me for a few weeks! (Cue the violins)

So... any volunteers (she asks meekly)

Oh my - the violins are playing!!!! When our oldest was 2 he fell and had to get 3 stitches - I though that was bad. Your poor toddler!!

I'll volunteer in some way. I don't know that I have enough knowledge on the issues to write, but I'm willing to work.
I think I suggested the monthly thing, which could be updates, or just reminders to keep bringing the issue up.
Something I've had problems following is who to contact and what that person is doing that they should be contacted.

So maybe the blog post should have direct contact info for certain congresspersons, not just those in my district, and whoever else is listening.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear of your little one's injury. :( I hope it heals quickly.

I definitely think we should keep up with the blog-ins. Someone in the other thread suggested talking about the stay, and also Senator DeMint's proposed legislation. I think that would be a great place to start! Let me see if I can dig that up.

I can help write it....but I have to interpret it appropriately first. Just like with the resale and thrift clarification there is some double speak. So I want to be sure that whatever I write is ACCURATE.

When do you plan for Blog In #2 to be?
