I'm taking work along to try and enter an open art exhibtion for the first time next week. Its the Paisley Art Institute Open in Scotland and I believe its extremely competitive.
I'm not expecting to have either of my two pieces accepted (no false modesty here) but it was a goal this year to actually bite the bullet, get work framed and subject myself to the likelihood of rejection.
There are a couple of local shows later in the year which shouldn't be a problem to get at least one work in to.
Although its too late for me this time, does anyone have any hints, tips or stories about entering open exhibitions? Anyone doing it for the first time like me?
