European Union and non

I was thinking of opening up my shipping to include Europe. Whilst digging around in the shipping I notice that they have the option of European Union and Europe non EU. I'm guessing that means when I have all those options clicked it will ship to just all over Europe correct? Rather than just picking and choosing what countries to send to I was curious if this was just an umbrella term. Does anyone know and are the rules different to ship when I have those selected?

Re: European Union and non

I personally think it's a lot easier to just have the "everywhere else" option for shipping. I've had orders from numerous places that I've actually had to Google because I'd never heard of these countries!

I have a domestic (US) shipping rate, and one pulled out for Canada since it's a bit cheaper than shipping to other countries, then the "everywhere else" option. I base my "everywhere" shipping rate on New Zealand since that's been the most costly place I've had to ship.

Re: European Union and non

Hello,

I am based in the UK and if you wish to sell to Europe, regardless of the country, you must choose EU and also non EU indeed.
EU is the 28 countries that form the Union (27 remaining after Brexit) and non EU is all the other European countries that haven't joined the Union.
This difference is more relevant for sellers from the Union (Example: from France, from Spain...) who wish to sell to European buyers:
- If the buyer is also in EU, then no custom fee to pay, whatever the value. It is the principe of buying and selling within the Union.
- If the buyer is in Europe, but a country that does not belong to EU, then a fee may apply.
In consequence, some sellers based in a EU country prefer to sell only to buyers also bases in a EU country.
