Good morning everyone! I am headed out for the day and not checking ETSY until later. Hope everyone is doing well. I am a "blue" about ETSY, as I was hoping things would pick up by the end of August and they haven't --I guess like with most things in life I'll just have to see what Sept onward brings.

Instead of a coupon/sale for Sept. (I find few people use those), I'm thinking of lowering all the prices of my handmade jewelry and noting that--as I don't want people to think they are low quality (I already barley mark up after material cost).

I did a coupon this weekend (yesterday and today) of 35% storewide-- no bits. BUT, there is still 11 hrs left in the day, perhaps a sale will come :)

Another thread all ready!?!?!

Where is the time going! I received a package yesterday from a trade I had done..More christmas present out of the way! I am a little bummed about the one color combo I picked out. On the computer it looked great but now that I have them the color combo looks like something at my grandma's house..I may have to re-think who I was going to give them to.

Challenge piece is due end of this week..Yikes! I need to get going! I have a new pattern I wanna try..Maybe soon :)

Checking in, and like Amanda, I'm a little depressed about my shop lately. My views have PLUMMETED since I went back to work. I just don't have the time during the school year to promote like I do in the summer, and it seems like it's been forever since I've had a sale.
SIGH.
I did start working on my challenge piece though. Going to have to get my bottom in gear to have it finished and photographed by Friday.

Checking in on check in day for once!

Home from a crazy weekend....my grandmother passed away after a LONG slow downslide and spending the last 6 weeks in hospice waiting to die (that time was great to have with her, but totally sucked since she was sick of waiting for the end). I am so happy that she is up in heaven with my gramps now, but she will be missed here till we get to see her again! Anyway, her funeral was Friday-hard, but a celebration all the same! She was an amazing, Godly woman and I will miss her something fierce!

Anyway, not going to participate in this week's challenge since it is the last week before school starts for the kids here...AND I have 2 baby shower gifts and 3 special orders to get done this week....AHHHH

Summer is usually a very slow time on Etsy, and in my experience things will pick up once the kids head back to school.

Just think - Christmas is really just around the corner and customers will be starting to browse for new gift ideas.

A few tips:
Tags: make sure each tag counts! For jewelry - try Wedding, bridesmaids gift, prom and etc.
For clothing: how about back to school? birthday, or etc.
