Hi India sellers!

I’m excited to share that on Monday, March 23rd, Etsy India will work with it’s third party partner agency here to offer some “Listing Critique” tips for Indian sellers on the forum!

For those of you who have not participated in a “Listing Critique” before, here’s how it works:

Next week on 23/03 we will open this thread to comments at 10:00 am IST. From there, you will have until 10:00 pm IST to submit a link to a listing from your shop that you’d like advice on—you can only choose one, so choose wisely!
With guidance from Etsy Shop Optimization Specialists, Etsy will review your listing and share a personalized critique. The critiques will focus on things like keywords, photography, and other conversion tactics.
We will consider requests on a first come first serve basis. Please note that thoughtful critiques take time to construct, which means that we will not be able to get to every request during this session.

Join the Team: India Etsy Seller Support Network. This is where all the action will be happening so sign up in advance.
Head to the team on March 23rd at 10:00 AM IST to find the discussion - it will be called Listing Critique Marathon. It’ll be pinned at the top! We will only look at listings that are posted on 11th - so make sure you only post then.

Reply directly to this post. We will be open to take listing submissions from 10:00am to 10:00pm IST Listing critiques will be shared on a rolling basis between 10:00am - 6:00pm IST on 26th and 27th March.

Make sure you click clear and crisp images of the entire product. You might be able to attract more buyers with a shot that really showcases the craftsmanship of your item.

While you have a well written title for your listing, buyer research shows that using commas instead of dashes or a vertical bar in your case, helps titles appear more clean and readable. For instance, your title can look like this White organic cotton woman's tunic , Women's sleeveless cotton tunic ,White textured summer tunic

I’d also suggest using all available photo slots for the listing (right now you have 7 and you actually get up to 10). You could consider including some shots of the item modeled on a person. This will help your buyers get a sense of fit and how it could potentially look on them. Customers love to see photos that show the making and packaging processes. It helps them to connect with you and better visualize what they will be receiving. Packaging photos are especially popular around the holidays.

Lastly, You should consider offering free shipping (and include the cost of shipping in the price of the coat.) Buyers frequently tell us that having to pay an additional shipping cost is what keeps them from shopping on Etsy more often.

I really like the detailed description you’ve written for this item. It does a great job highlighting the work that goes into making your item and the extra features that make it special. While your title has some great phrases but I would recommend you to keep it a little short and make sure to use 3 - 4 phrases only in the title and the rest can come in the tags. Also, the item listed in this listing makes for a great personalized gift - I would recommend you add that to your title as it may work better in the search algorithm!

In the listing photos, I would highly recommend adding a lifestyle shot of your product - in your case, it would be the artwork framed and displayed on the wall of a kid’s room or drawing room! I would also recommend adding a packaging shot - since it’s a gift item. The first that pops to me after seeing your listing is the title. I see that you have included a lot of phrases in your titles which contain important keywords related to your product. However, it’ll be great if you can trim your title to just 3-4 phrases so that it doesn't look too crowded. You can use the remaining keywords in your tags. You can perhaps trim it down to just Golden twist hoops, Wide hoop earrings for women, Thick gold circle latina earrings.

When reviewing your listing, I noticed that the 3rd image featured a watermark. I would recommend letting your awesome product shine through, and leaving the text for the product description. Photos with watermarks or copy overlaid make it challenging to promote more broadly.

One thing I noticed is that your 6th photo is a little blurry. Make sure that you focus more on the product than on its background while clicking photographs. You might be able to attract more buyers with a shot that really showcases the craftsmanship of your item.

Make sure you use all available tags with diverse terms so that you get as many opportunities as possible to get your items in front of buyers in search. For example, your title could be: “Wooden travel journal, Handmade Paper A5 diary, Teak Wood Notebook, Handblock Printed Notebook”.
