Team Members Tips

I've noticed that the team is growing nicely but that among the most active members are the leaders. Now, I know there's five of us, but we'd really love to hear your voices more. So, here's the plan:

This thread is for everyone *except* the leaders to share their tips and advice on creating items, running a business, tweaking your shop, networking etc.

If you have something to share, put it here but also copy and paste it if there is a relevant thread elsewhere on this team and/or if you'd like the Leaders to comment.

Click on Discussions and scroll through the 5 or so pages. I've seen some groups with 80+ pages - personally I'd like to keep this trimmed down so you can more easily find the right place to post!

So over to you Members (Leaders, please step back :)

Re: Team Members Tips

OK, I'll start! I belong to the Milliners of Etsy team as well. One of the things I like about it, is that as a team, we sponsor "challenges". We pick a theme, find a judge, set a deadline. All of the entries are then put into treasuries and judged. No prizes; it is just about stretching ourselves, artistically, and having a bit of fun. It is also good for showing that we are a cohesive team. This is something that would be helpful if somewhere down the line, we decide to apply for an Etsy team grant, for an event. (My milinery groups is planning a midwest show in April 2013, and lucky for me, it is only about a 45 min drive from where I live. I am in charge of the runway show! The team is applying for an Etsy team grant, to help pay for expenses).

So, I think we should consider a challenge for the team. It can be any theme-book, movie, color, etc. My other team usually allots two months out fo rthe deadline-we are all very busy, right? Jump in.........
