Please post here anything and everything about your shop, what you do on and off etsy to support animals, questions, stories about your pet babies, etc!

Hi wonderful animal loving teammies.... I am offering these earrings for "free." They are actually $3 for US shipping, 20 cents for the listing fee, and 50 cents for the gift bag - so they are $3.70 each. Speaking of "pet babies" which I wrote above... what do you call the animal in your family? Rescue pet? Rescued baby? Fur-baby? their "real" name? feathery baby?

My rescue dog is called about 10000 "pet names" (pun intended) and he responds to every one! - his "real name" is Pierce. I refer to him as my "furry son or furry baby."

I would include a picture of your rescued pup as one of the 5 photos and note who he/she is in the description.

I would also maybe note that things on S. Island are sill impacted by H. Sandy - I know the shelter I adopted my dog from in MASS took in animals from H. Sandy. Your shelter probably needs funds more now than ever!

Please share if you have any ideas on how to get existing team members to participate more :) .....I keep inviting new folks - which you are welcome to do, but I am not sure that is the key?

Also any thoughts on how we can help animals more? I love that we are promoting shops and items in which a portion is donated an animal cause...what else?

I met a dog at the dog park today who had been adopted by a lovely woman. His previous owner had SHOT him as he was a hunter and the dog was not a good enough hunting dog. Instead of giving him away - yes, he shot him and yet he didn't do it right so he dumped the dog at a vet. It broke my heart - I was looking into his eyes and giving him a face rub (per his request) at the park and I just can't grasp how someone could have done that to him :(
...Glad he has a great home now!

Man am I exhausted... Lately I have been attending craft shows and events to get my name out there. It lead me to being on the news which is awesome but not a ton of sales.

I have decided to only attend dog-related events the rest of the summer in hopes that more people will stop by my booth.

I have been getting up early and staying up late making products on top of working 40 hours a week, taking care of our 15 animals, and half-a** keeping up on house chores.

Social media is something I learn more about every day and try to keep up with but I have decided that I need 5 more of me to get to where I want to be.

My end goal is to have my own animal rescue where I can rehabilitate dogs that have been deemed not adoptable and train them so that they are adoptable.

I want to rescue more horses from slaughter, pigs from bad situations, goats, barn cats, and whatever other animals come my way.

Well, that's probably enough blabbering for now :)

I would also try selling some of them for you at the events I go to if you want- you could send me some business cards and a little sign telling people where the money goes to.

I'm sure people that don't want grooming products would still want to help out.

Hello everyone! I finally found some time to start an online petetion to start the process of getting us a Pet Category here on Etsy!

Once I reach at least 100 signatures, I will be emailing the petition to the Etsy Press and Editorial Team.

The petition only requires you to type in your first and last name. No email address or personal information.

I feel this could really help get the word out that Pet related items exist on etsy!

The Pet industry is booming right now so I think etsy would really bennefit from a number of viewers and users perspective.

I've been the VP for many years. We have a 170 acre farm with 250+ cats, 60+ dogs, 9 horses and a partridge in a pear tree....lol

We also have a pet supply store in town and I also have my crocheted items in that store.

We have 5 paid employees at the farm and the store is run totally by volunteers.
