Just joined..Another group I"m a member of had a posting about a new option Etsy will soon be offering..a way for customer's to buy items with their credit cards instead of Paypal..here is the link:

Hello there! just joined. I have a friend that uses the credit card apps on her cell with no problems. My only concern is that I feel "Is it secure enough?" and "what responsibility do I carry as the shop/store?" My brother in law works at IBM as a manager and has discouraged me from trying. I hope that eventually I can...that is the little rebel in me! :-)

My issue from what I understand and have read is that the money from the sale does not get to you immediately. You get it once the item ships. This is a problem for those of us who do a lot of custom orders. I am just not crazy about the idea of Etsy holding money until shipment. Maybe I misunderstood this, but this is what it sounds like to me. This is no big deal for things that are made and ready to ship.
