I think it's a great idea to have separate threads! I'm not sure when to start, sorry, I'm always behind when it comes to listing - I'm still listing Fourth of July items.
Brenda I am always ahead of myself when it comes to Halloween and Christmas I love them and I don't like summer so I keep thinking Halloween and lately I been thinking Christmas and making some cuase of the Christmas in July thing.
Thanks for sharing Judy. Well I got a big Halloween order last year in the end of July. I myself bought a candlestick with a pumpkn head from a dollar store in July. I thought it would be so cute in the window. So I think I will start them soon. But not this week since I want everyone to prepare for our Christmas in July promotion next week!
I've been MIA recently - sorry - the 9-5 has been busy. Even though Christmas is the going holiday right now, listing and promoting all the holidays and seasons s/b year-round. I just sold my haunted house and have several Christmas items in the auction next week. But right now I'm starting on the fall season
Summer is now here and the month of July is almost upon us. This time of the year, everyone is out and about enjoying warm temps, some sellers notice a decrease in the number of views and sales in their shops. This seasonal slowdown is well known in the retail world and its implications are felt both on and offline. Meanwhile, this is a great time to start planning for the holidays. Start creating holiday stock, and planning your sales and promotions. The holidays will be here before you know it and we all want to be prepared. So while you are enjoying the warm weather, please remember our season is almost upon us.
YES I seen shop gettign 429 -35 sales NOW but most of us our dead so this is a great time to stock up so we will list for all Holidays now and this way I will have items at hand for making team treasuries when the time comes.
Sue I never sell outside the holiday here but some of the snowbirds buy my christmas stuff in Feb. or March because they know they won't see me to buy around the holiday. I did last year get a $50 order in July and I was so excited my firs ghostgap order and i thought WOW I am gonna do GREAT and ha ha that was it! Except for a few small ones. But That was my first ghostgap season and ghostgap was doing pretty good in the end of winter.
I have been working on expanding my shop - different year-round items - so I decided on a sports line. I just finished the 1st one - a sports banner. I'll have it pstd later today Hopefully it will expand my shops audience. wait and see
So everyone must be busy w/ adding products to their shops - including me - because it has been quiet here. What are you up to??
Me - let's see - I just got back from the Jersey shore (thats were I work) and the humidity was horrendous - was glad to get back to the mountains. I am still working on expanding the new section of my shop - sports banners -the first 2 took me longer then I wanted because I had to fiddle w/ the letters to get them just right - now they seem to just wipe along. I have another idea for a fall/halloween item - just have to design it first
Sales have been slow and views are down - well some days. I had one day they went to 3 digits and the next they were down to 2 digits - summer I guess. But my other shop on another site views are up - go figure.
Well, off to the salt mines - everyone have a great day!!
Sue, wish I knew you were coming to the Jersey Shore. I live in TomsRiver. We could have had coffee or maybe something cold. The humidity has been awful here
I have been on vacation so haven't been active yet. I still have another week before I get home, however, I took my shop off vacation mode. Hopefully customers will start finding me again.
I look forward to getting home and starting to create for the fall and holidays. Hope everyone is doing great!
Is everyone working on Christmas right now? Are you listing Christmas items right now? I do offer Christmam chrams and things for sale. Should I be listing them right now?
Julia, you are right not a lot of Day of the Dead really in etsy. Well, maybe it is just best to stick to Halloween. However, it would be nice to try the D of D thread and see what happens.
I am going to start one. you will find more of that in goth teams. But never hurts to see what happens. I think I will do show me your skulls and Day of the Dead things. i have some things in ghostgap with skulls so at least you won't be the only one listing. Some people have sold some Christmas things out of season. When you think of it they got year round CHristmas shops so I always keep a few Christmas thing in my angel shop. Many did not put Halloween in their shops in July and they are making a mistake. Ghostgap got a Halloween order in July last year and this year. It was orange pumpkin things so definately Halloween orders. I will be in the team mostly with ghostgap since it is promote Halloween now.
Members let me know if you get any Christmas orders and this will let me know if I should start pushing Christmas yet. I can only think of Halloween now and maybe Thanksgiving but I did make some Christmas thing in July but that is never been helpful to me. I found pushing Christmas in July got me no sales.Has Christmas in July worked for any of you here in the team?
Thank you so much for the Day of the Dead tread. Truely appreciated.
It is just so hard to think of Christmas in 100 degree weather. But if people are starting to make Christmas items they will want supplies. I may list a couple of things and, again, see what happens.
Hi! I just joined the team, been surfing around lots of creative talent here I'm really impressed! I have been clicking, and hearting! :)
