Effective sales events- I have a question

During 2019 what did you feel helped you have more sales?  Was it the free shipping?  Was it using social media more?  I am some what new to selling on Etsy and would like to hear from you what you felt was the most effective thing that you did to boost your sales.

I'm also still trying to figure out the most efficient way but definitely paying for ads through Etsy and Facebook helped me out a ton.

I am not sold on free shipping. I am located in Ohio. My west coast sales increased but my east coast sales decreased a lot. I just removed the free shipping. Biggest reason is I sell rocking horses and the cost to ship is a big difference. I do advertise and noticed an increase in sales.

I have only had a few sales on items that were pretty light— so I’m not sure if it helped or not? I don’t pay for other adds so will be watching if the new policy helps me. Good luck. Jan

I do both etsy and instagram ads.  I feel the etsy ads do bring more visitors to my site and add some sales.  When my ads are off my visits decrease substantially.  Looking forward to the new ad policy coming in April.-Jo
