Interesting Factoid : How Many Sellers on Etsy? How Many Items Do You Have?

As of right this minute, there are

290877 sellers
All of which have items in their shops. These numbers are approximate as of this minute and constantly change, however:

21 Shops have at least or OVER 2500 items in stock

13 Shops have between 2000-2499 items in stock

180 sellers (approximately) range in the 1000's range

200 sellers between 800-1000 items (fluctuating)

200 sellers between 600-800 items (fluctuating)

200 sellers between 500-600 items (fluctuating)

365 sellers between 400-500 items (fluctuating)

Most of the above sellers are listing items and updating their shops daily. That is only 1179 members or so.

That means the huge remainder of Etsy, 289698 members keeps under 400 items in their shops.

I aiming for 50, but I currently have 39. Considering my items, it would be impossible to have over 1000 items, because of time and cost.

hmmm, interesting. I currently have 56 items. That said, each one is one of a kind. It is really different listing head pins or buttons as opposed to complete one of a kind items.

Wow, I was searching through the listings by the # of listings in each shop, and there are over 1100 pages of shops with 1 listing! With 20 listings per page, that's over 22000 shops. WOW. I was really surprised to see that.

I gave up after page 1107, too much for me.

I am trying to always keep it as full as possible- as of right now I have 327 characters...the more one has, the more likely you will have something somebody would like! : )

I think this list would be more beneficial and accurate if the sellers were sorted into handmade, vintage and supplies sellers.

I think for handmade items, especially if each item is unique and one-of-a-kind, as mine and many other sellers' are, the number of current listings is fewer. Quality not quantity- that's what I'm going for, even if that doesn't necessarily lend itself to online marketplaces.

I believe my magic number is around 160--only because that's the highest I've ever reached! I'm a daily list-er and find it hard to keep it above 120.

I have 105 right now and that is the most I have ever had. I can't imagin having over 1000 or even 200. I too make handmade and would have trouble getting that many. I don't know about ya'll, but I will only click on so many pages to view...

I have around 24 atm and even multiples right now. I have a much larger inventory of horns and also of fairy fashion accessoires, but I don't get around to take really good pics of my merchandise. So I'll have to wait till march when I'll have moved flats to take good pics and set the items up here on etsy.

Interesting facts, now I want to aim for 400 items before I stop. ;) I currently have around 170 items in my shop, but I want to try and break through to 200 by mid March, or better yet, end of this month. :)
