Selling internationally?

To those of you who sell to international sellers. What is the best (most secure) way to accept payment? How do you ship? I have had a few people from other countries interested in some of my products. I don't know where to begin.

Hi Kim! Do you live in the United States? I usually just ship USPS and haven't had a problem yet (I've shipped to Canada and Finland so far). No tracking though, unless you're willing to pay a lot more.

I accept paypal from international buyers and it's super secure.

My one big suggestion is to make sure you have a good idea for shipping prices. I didn't realize how expensive it can get for larger packages. Good luck!

I ship internationally all the time. A lot of sellers don't want to deal with shipping internationally - but I have my costumes in more than 10 countries and I think that is supercool!

For most shipments, I use USPS Global and out of the last ten shipments ran into two parcels that needed to be tracked down (which can be a pain!). UPS and FEDEX are extremely expensive. UPS is super efficient but FEDEX charges double at the end for duty so be sure to check the bill recipient box.

When quoting shipping charges, UPS and USPS's websites are fairly accurate for getting the information just make sure you add a little bit to the quote just in case. I always research beforehand and give the client a few options so they can decide how fast they want it and how much.

Paypal for payment is the way to go.
