Ads on Facebook?

Has anyone had any success with paying to post ads on Facebook? I recently started an ad that also links to my Etsy shop and have so far reached 6000 people (meaning it has popped up on 6000 pages), but yet to have any sales and only one person appears to have even clicked on my ad. Is it something I am doing wrong, or is this just not a very successful way of getting exposure, or does it simply take time!? Suggestions please!

I've tried it too. I linked it to my FB page. Every time I have averaged a "like" for every dollar spent. Seems pretty costly and I haven't had any sales come from it but I'm still pretty new and trying to get as much exposure as possible.

Yeah that sounds about right :/ I have now had over 13000 impressions and only one click. Only paying $1 a day, but it won't be worth it if nobody is seeing my page!

Also, you can choose age group, martial status, family status, gender and location. That seems to helps get more appropriate likes.

Oh ok! That would make sense. I was torn between a reaching more people, or fewer people in a more specific catagory. Maybe I should go for more specific!
