Thank you very much for joining this team! I hope to build a great little community of geeks artists where we can all support one another!

Let's take a moment to introduce ourselves here.

Tell us about you, your shop, how you got into art or any other details you'd like to share!

My name is Emma, I have been working on my artwork & online shop full time for a little over a year now thanks to the support of my awesome husband. I love crafting, nothing makes me happier. I enjoy trying all kinds of new techniques and mediums. My shop has a little something for all different kinds of interests and I love doing custom commissions!

Greetings from SE Michigan. I have been a geek all my life, so I should fit in nicely here. I love steampunk, fantasy, horror and sci-fi. As a visual artist (which makes up about 1/2 of my creative life), I am a sculptor and mixed-media artist. I've only got a couple pieces on my Etsy store (items from Lord of the Rings and The Dark Crystal), but I'll be posting more as I ramp up over the summer.

I'm really hoping to make some connections here, so if my work interests you, give me a shout!

Hi, I joined Etsy a few months ago, but have been a geek my entire life. I enjoy anime/manga, cartoons, fantasy, sci-fi, (and so on). All of the items in my shop are created with geeks in mind. I make adorable felt plush of characters from the nerd realms.

Hey! Thanks for the invite!! I'm super excited to join up with fellow artist geeks. I'm new to Etsy, but not to creating things. I've always been an artist, but recently have focused more on clothing and costumes. Thanks to my awesome family, I've been able to make the leap to working full time on my own business, including my Etsy store, The Costume Wrangler's Closet.
I too get a lot of inspiration from comics and movies, and I have an undying love for David Tennant's Dr. Who (although there's a special place in my heart for Matt Smith and Christopher Eccleston too). I've got a crazy number of ideas and I'm really looking forward to realizing them, just as soon as I get moved . . . FINALLY!

Hey all! My name's Becca and I'm a life long crafter. Most of my background is in sewing, I love to cosplay and I make all my own costumes. I've been making jewelry for a a few years now. I work at an independently owned bead store where I teach classes and do repairs. I started making those insanely popular scrabble tile pendants for the store I work at and one day decided to make one with Spiderman on it for my self. That's what sparked my etsy shop. I'm really glad to be a part of a team with so many amazing artists and creators. I can't wait to see even more of what everyone has to offer!

Hi, I'm Mary Jane and I make jewelry that's nerdy on the inside. The things in my shop are currently Pokemon-themed, but I have a couple of zodiac/Homestuck pieces to put up, and this year's art show themes for my pieces are Captain Planet and Harry Potter (separate sets!).

Genesis at age 8-> Playstation at 11-> N64-> Game Cube-> Xbox-> Xbox360-> PS3. NOT including the multiple games on PC, and owning almost every generation of Nintendo portable gaming consoles! Needless to say, I'm definitely a geek. @.@

Just opened up my Etsy shop a few days ago, been shopping for geekery on Etsy for years and finally gave in to my friends who told me to open up shop here. I have SO much to learn and I LOVE feedback and suggestions so please feel free to shoot me some!! Any tips for shipping prices, aesthetics, etc are VERY welcome at this stage in the game lol. (no pun intended)

I'm not the first, or the last, bead sprite artist here on Etsy, but I hope to find my niche since I pull from many different types of inspiration. I also specialize in very large, complex pieces and making bead art out of high-res images. I also found ways to bend and shape the plastic so I want to take advantage of that too.

My name is Laverne. I have been running my shop part time for about over a year. Its been an on and off thing but i finally have been able to make the time to keep it steady since I've graduated. I love anything that involves design (crafting, interiors, architecture, graphics etc...) My shop primarily has trinket boxes featuring characters from anime to gaming. I also do custom commissions!

Hello all! I'm very new to Etsy so please bear with me! My shop mainly focuses on video game culture/internet culture and animals. I make keychain charms, pendants, earrings (currently waiting on an order of blank posts to make more!), little sculptures and incense holders. I make more complex sculptures as well, but not often. They're usually commissions.

Hi folks - I'm new to etsy. I've been a collector of all art, but in particular animation art for decades. I began selling more seriously about a year ago. Now I fill the walls of my home and office with an ever-changing gallery of animation art everyday! And I weep to see my favorites go - but know they are going to geeks who love them!

Hi all! Fairly new to etsy, still learning how to do things, and just got my shop up and running a couple weeks ago. I do all kinds of art, from pencil drawings to oil paintings and digital media. I got my start back in middle school by reading comic books. I wanted the art on my walls but couldn't afford to buy it, so I started drawing it instead. Now here I am, 20+ years later as a working medical professional and still loving art as a hobby.

Over the past several years I've slowly been framing old art and continuing to make new pieces, and my home is becoming an art gallery of sorts of my pieces. For now I mostly have digital downloads available, but soon hope to have prints and even original pieces available for sale.

Hi all,

Brian here. I am an art teacher from the Cincinnati area. My main media until recently were earthenware pottery and handpainted gourds. But this summer, my 7 year old and I were looking for something fun to make together. He chose Perler beads. I got hooked. Since then, I've been making pop-culture and geekery inspired pixel art magnets with Perler beads. Since I'm new to this medium, I'm joining some Geek teams to network and get advice on this market.
