My name's Maria and I run my shop Nerdifacts with the help of my awesome fiance sidekick, James. I have another shop called February Jones, it's kind of under construction right now and doesn't contain many listings. I love making geeky/nerdy/dorky things. I have a lot of comic and literature themed jewelry made by upcycling well-read comics and novels. I also rarely leave home without yarn and crochet hooks and have been working on integrating crocheted items into Nerdifacts, the first of which were funky Octopeep hair clips (yes, you can wear an octopus on your head!) and I've started a line of wristwarmers inspired by superheroes, and I love them to bits!
I'm a fun happy girl, marching to the beat of my own drum... We don't have cable (tv) so I don't watch too many seasons of shows currently being aired, which is actually good because then I escape the hype. I love fantasy and sci-fi and between the two of us, Jim and I have created quite a collection of novels, comics (usually in trade format for easier shelving, manga as well), movies, and tv series.

i just haven't gotten around to introducing myself here; or anywhere else, for that matter. i don't even have much about me on my facebook, but i guess that tells you something about my personality. as you may be able to tell by my picture, i enjoy the elder scrolls. possibly my favorite video game franchise, narrowly edging out final fantasy. i am a pretty avid gamer, spending most of my game-time on either skyrim, borderlands, arkham city or some kinda GTA. i also very much enjoy the old school games, like the castlevanias (SOTN!!!), vagrant story, most of the marios and zeldas, and just about anything square made for snes or playstation. i'm a huge fan of comic book artist sam kieth, who created the maxx, and worked on the first few sandman comix. i also make something resembling music: soundcloud.com/surgery-games my chief artsy skills are in black and white pen drawings using a whole lot of cross-hatching.
