This is a repost to generate conversation & (hopefully) revive group. Can you remember your 1st upcycling experience? I'll start. We cut images from store catalogs to make paper dolls. The models were glued onto a cereal box (for durability) then cut out. We changed her clothes by cutting tabs at the tops & sides of the outfits & folded the tabs to the back. It was great entertainment & lasted a LoNg time. Our pastor's wife babysat me & taught me to make Barbie dresses from old kid size sock tubes & fabric scraps. I felt so grown to be trusted with a needle & thread at 6. Yes, I poked my finger, but that's how I learned. 🙂 Also, one year, my bf got a glass cutter & I got a wax melt kit so we cut the tops off of old booze bottles to make candles. Your turn...

We go through pens really fast at work. I've been trying to think of something fun to make with them. I've heard that the empty barrels can be cut into beads. Does anyone have other ideas?

I am new to the team, but love the recycling movement. My focus is sharing the details of running a business and making it succeed... so I look for lots of business information all the time. I have been creating a thread like this in all the teams I belong to that don't already have one, but I can't always post every tip at every team. We all need to post whatever we discover so other team members can benefit from it, too. To help me keep track of all these threads, I rely on the Etsy TEAM DIGESTS. I am able to see what others are posting because they all go to my email! 🙂 It saves time, especially in teams!! I hope that all of us together will be able to find the best business-building tips to share with other team members. We need to promote this reuse/recycling philosophy!!!
