Hello!

Ted and I are a husband and wife team. He is the metal smith and I do everything else to work Gaelic Forge. Such as photos, copyrighting, packing and mailing.

Our friends call us Ted and Violet.

Why we do what we do: We have always kept our hands busy with projects. Our kids grew up and we found time to use our skills differently and learn new things.

Something you would be surprised to know about us: Ted is writer of beautiful words and I am a vegetarian chef.

Favorite way to relax: Reading for both of us!

Anything else: I make lists. I love paper and pencils and hard copy. I believe in doing it now. You'd be surprised what can be accomplished in 5 seconds!

Hello Everyone
My name is Janine and I live in Camden NSW Australia. I have 5 children, 6 grandchildren and 7 sponsored children...so I suppose I have a lot of children My profession is an English teacher and I love being in the classroom with young teens imparting a love of literature.

I haven't worked for about 2 years now and began my Etsy shop as a means to contribute to my family's income and continue to sponsor my children.

I love to read and read and read and have many favourite books. I suppose a book about me would be tittle: 'The Girl who loved to Read'.

I began making soap and fell in love with it...I had too many bars lying around the home and no storage space..so Etsy seemed like a good solution!

This has been a huge learning curve for me..I have developed my own website that links to my Etsy store and created a Facebook page. I have learned about so many aspects of the online world that I didn't know before!

I am pleased to meet all of you and hope that as a team we can promote each other, grow our businesses and hopefully make a little bit of a living!

Why I make what I make: I'm in LOVE with old Ladies works, embroideries, lace and so on ...It reminds me my of my beloved grandmother EVA + I'm very creative as well.

Something you’d be surprised to know about me: I went snorkeling in Iceland his March!

The best thing I did for my Etsy shop: Accept custom orders. They are so fun and I really get to know what clients are looking for. A recent custom order led me collaborating with a party planner!

My fave way to relax: TV series binge!

Dogs or cats? Dogs. We have two mutts who were supposed to be medium size dogs (40lbs).... however... 5 years later... they are now 75 and 100lbs!

Anything else I’d like to share: I'm new to Etsy Teams and I love this new resource to meet new people and learn more about how to better run my shop!

Why I make what I make: I love to play with tools that make a lot of noise and sparks and smoke. Shop class was my favorite.

You'd be surprised to know that I teach high school equivalency class in a men's minimum security prison.

The best thing I did for my store has been to get on the forums and learn from others about SEO and to not quit when things have gone slowly.

Favorite way to relax: Scuba diving.

Dogs or Cats: Both. Because I'm a sucker for a smushie face. 2 dogs and a cat allow me to live in my house.

Why I make what I make: I've been obsessed with stamped jewellery for years and love the fact that I can personalise my pieces for each individual customer. I particularly love making things for weddings and the fact that my work is included in people's special day.

Something you’d be surprised to know about me: I am related to Winston Churchill

The best thing I did for my Etsy shop: Opened it! I spent ages agonising about my descriptions and photography and making sure everything was spot on, but in the end I realised I would never be perfect so just needed to take the plunge and work to continuously improve in each area.

My fave way to relax: Jewellery making!

Anything else I’d like to share: I have two little ones and have just reopened my shop after a year-long break when I had my little boy. My friends call me: Markalino (a nickname given to me by my dad as a kid and it continued as an adult).

Why I make what I make: I make jewelry because it has always been of interest to me. I used to watch shows like Dynasty growing up and I'd marvel at the gorgeous jewelry being worn, mostly all by one of my inspirations, Nolan Miller.

My Mama loved me an her love for cooking/baking was such a huge influence in my life. She inspired my from-scratch recipes as well as the beautiful images on my packaging... she influenced everything!
I am so lucky, my mom has an identical twin sister, my Mama number 2!

The business started as a hobby while I was working in the corporate world when I would very regularly bring cookies into to work on Fridays to test on my friends and co-workers... eventually they started calling it Cookie Fridays rather than casual Fridays... and I would get hate mail if cookies didn't show up on Fridays!! So Cookie Fridays was really named by all my cookie testers!

Something you’d be surprised to know about me:
I'm in my 40's and enjoy Longboarding, among other things!

Mention it in other places as well... Facebook, Instagram, conversations, etc...

My fave way to relax:
That's BIG question! Zen things, YouTube how to videos, people watching, taking pics, baking, cooking, biking, fishing, snowboarding, longboarding, motorcycle (street), meditation, reading, music, music, music...marketing my delicious cookies!

My Instagram is fun it's Kurisufari instagram.com/kurisufari that's my social marketing tip... since I live a particular active/adventurous Colorado lifestyle that connects with a lot of others in various age groups... I am not shy about the fact that my Instragram account actually represents my cookie business, so when I post on my cookies or Etsy it seems to generate some business for me...

Hi Everyone, my friends call me Ugie. I'm from Indonesia, just living in Los Angeles for one year. I'm glad to find Etsy, so I can have the opportunity to share my handmade and selling it internationally.
I make handbag and pillow cushion. Why I make it? Because every woman must need more than one bag and one pillow and I love quilting and upholstery fabric.
My friends would be surprised to know that I can sew! My background education is accounting, that's so far away from what I do. Turn I love craft thing.
The best thing I did for my Etsy Shop: I sell internationally so I can see people from different countries look and favorite my item.
My fave way to relax is have a coffee on coffee shop with my children and just chit chat with them.

In 2014 my Hubby was diagnosed with Leukemia and we sold our Nevada home and are hitting some Bucket List USA Parks and Forests. Hello everyone!

My friends call me Amy. I started my candle business as a way to rebuild myself after years of complications, divorce, separation from my children, depression and anxiety. Making candles gave me a much needed escape and I realized that I was enjoying it and I was starting to feel better all around.

Something that you would be surprised to know about me is that my absolute favorite hobby is ocean fishing! My biggest fish is a 49 inch Red Drum caught from a pier.

The best thing that I do for my Etsy shop is my Dink Jelly Jar Candles. When I was little my grandfather gave me the nickname Dink. So those are my way of honoring and thinking of him always.

My favorite way to relax is one of my candles, a glass of wine and a good book. I also like to relax and play video games with my boyfriend.

I have two cats, Raven and Mora. I love all animals and we soon hope to move to a place where we can have a pair of Boxer's.

If someone were to write a book about me it would be called Comeback because I have done just that.

We live on a remote cattle property in Australia ... I love making pretty mosaics ... shabby chic bags and embellishments as well as doing watercolours... I tend to work on my art on weekends and at night as I homeschool the kids with help during the day as well as looking after our paperwork, house blah blah ... all the fun stuff... {cooking and cleaning}.
