what did you do this week to promote your shop and increase visibility?

i ask because i am newly inspired to step outside etsy to bring in sales....

this week i:

opened an artfire and zibbet account (with mixed emotions about the results)
re-organized my facebook page photo albums and uploaded all my product photos
re-opened my website so i can sell all the non handmade or supplies stuff that i bought before etsy.
ordered a BUTTLOAD of new product after having a really good sales week.

I revamped my shop so it didn't look like... well... crap. My views exploded today and I think it's because people are actually browsing around instead of going, "Oh" and leaving.

I do need to rewrite all of my descriptions... I'm lolly gagging because it's formidable.

Also: by the thread title alone I can tell that you have approximately a third grader and have been subjected to Phineus and Ferb on a daily basis (Netflix?)

Someone's been watchin' a little too much Phineas and Ferb (and that person would be me!lol( Referring to the title, of course. lol

I have been doing nothing for visibility. I need to bury my head in schoolbooks to get myself ready for the grueling semester ahead of me.

Descriptions are not my friends either, I get too wordy ALL the time. lol I am the queen of going off-tangent.

I got back into social media circles I have been neglecting. I frequent tumblr and live journal the most and they're always going good (have 376 followers on lj and 244 on tumblr), but I decided I had to pay more attention to the other sites which I actually get more traffic from - deviantart (I have 2850 followers, why am I neglecting this?!), flickr (not many followers but I get people from there it seems) and a doll forum I frequent (which has over 10,000 active members). I've simply been more active in chatting to people and reminding everyone I'm still around. I posted a photo of a doll on all of these sites that was wearing a dress I made (not for sale, but still) and I got the most attention I've had in a long while.

I have a doll show at the start of sept I'm making stock for, they only come 'round twice a year sadly! And I'm also designing new business cards and postcards in time for that too!

lol... i have a three year old... we dont watch much phineas and ferb or whatever. we watch sesame street and word world all day.

Someone suggested I take pictures of my items in frames so spent yesterday taking photographs. I hope to finish editing them and have them up by the weekend 'fingers crossed' it helps my views/sales.

Yay animaniacs are they back?

I updated more tags as usual. Man this week my views and hearts have been great but I did put an ad in Sashay magazine summer issue which sells for 2 months!

I've been working on building up listings relly hard and started my blog. Just ordered our business cards yesterday (fingers crossed that they come in before our big show the 30th). Other than that is been a lot of word of mouth. I started a facebook page and someone got into it and was playing with it, so now I have to delete and restart.

savoy, they arent back but they are immortalized in my mind.

when i was a kid i used to paint murals on all the outbuildings of our rural house... on the pump house i painted a mural of the animaniacs hanging from trees and acting all goofy.

i went back to visit the house last year... (it was for sale and i wanted it back) and they were still there! hanging there all goofy like.

made me feel special since they completely remodeled my house and landscaped... yet the animaniacs remained.
