(Sorry, I'm not on here much -- this semester has been killer. But I need to rant).

So, I had about nine small padded mailer packages to be picked up by my normal mail carrier today. Not normally an issue.

I was so, so wrong.

My husband has a night class, and when he was leaving, he came back up to the house and banged on the door. He had a sopping wet package in his hand. One of MY Etsy orders. He found it IN THE ROAD!!!!

It hadn't been run over, but GOOD GRIEF!!!

On top of that, whoever the mail carrier was -- scanned all the packages he / she had just picked up as "delivered". So my Australian package -- delivered in Youngstown. My UK order -- delivered in Youngstown.

AUGGH!!!

THEN I get an e-mail from an eBay customer -- package arrived DEMOLISHED today. From the damage described, it must have had a Looney Tunes anvil dropped on it.

But wait -- there's more! I bought myself a smartphone outright from eBay. It was shipped Priority Mail and should have been delivered today. Nope. Tracking has stopped being updated as of last night. No idea where my new phone is -- and my old phone is functionally failing.

OH MY GOSH!!!

I'm about to freak right the heck out.

I guess I need to start taking all my packages to the post office.

That is all. I'll be "back" after finals week (next week).

Ok on the package left in road ... you can talk to your carrier and tell them what happened. Just to let them know.

On your package of phone , they usually say delivered a day ahead. Not sure why they started doing that these days but they do.

Of course if you are not coming back to read all this... Kinda Looney Tunes for me to write all that. lol

Oh yeah, my fleabay order was marked delivered by USPS in California. Problem is, I live in Florida.

I have more stuff to ship tomorrow. My husband is going to take the package to the post office and talk to the manager (I'll be in class during business hours). We haven't had our "normal" mail guy this week, so we think it was a fill in that dropped it.

The phone I'm just annoyed about -- and a little worried. Bad things always happen when my phone battery is dead or my phone is otherwise unusable.

Just an update: My husband talked to the local post office manager, and then I called her when I got home from class. She was very upset about the package ending up in the road. Apparently, our normal mail carrier has been on vacation this past week, so we've had "fill ins". She's doing an investigation to figure out which one of these substitutes dropped the package.

We seriously have the best people working at our local post office. I just with they got better substitute carriers!

And my phone finally came.
