Just found out about this in another team and I"m really excited. If you have a FB page, and you're based in the US and have 50 likes you can sign up for this program. I just wish it were earlier in the winter season for me, but it's still worth a shot.

I would love this (most of my views come from the forums but search engine hits are slowly on the rise) but my fan page is at 7 :P

I have a card for free google ads (if it's not expired). I have no clue who my target market is and how to reach them. Googling only yields vaguely-uplifting-but-ultimately-useless articles.

I got $100 in free adds. I tried two types of ads. the Social story did not do well, and the ad I built myself did well. The trick to building a FB ad is getting it tagged properly so that you pay per click price goes down, and you get more bang for you buck. I have not gotten the hang of this. my pay per clicks have been between .57 cents and .73 cents and I had bid $1.00 per click. I am still a bit blurry on what makes the cost go down.

Ditto what Lisa said about not knowing how to make the cost go down. I bid .70 per click and I'm paying on average about .53.

I have found that more natural, non-ad sounding verbiage gets better results, at least for me. I made two ads - one 2 weeks ago and one yesterday, and I've gotten more new fans off of yesterday's than I did over the course of the full two weeks.

First ad wording:
Unique silhouette art cut 100%
by hand from a single sheet of

Second ad wording:
I cut tons of tiny holes in paper
to make freakin' sweet fine art!

I got about 75 new fans today. I pretty much went through the $50 in one day, but I'm sure I can get a few more by April 1 which will give me $100 more in free ads. I think was a good thing.

I just wanted to revive this a bit. I think this is a really great deal. I got almost 150 hearts in the last few days. Who knows if they'll do anything for my business, but free exposure is free exposure. I think you guys should try it.

I'm a little over halfway through my $50 right now, I've gotten 72 new followers since starting, and I'm pretty sure at least 60 came from the ad.

I'm using my avi here as my ad picture, bidding 46¢ a click, but paying like 41¢, and targeting to fashion and/or coffee people.

I'm only using up to $3.20 a day.

I really hope I can get the other 28 needed to get the free $100
