Etsy is puzzling to me

This is the second time I have tried Etsy and I don't seem to be getting very good stats. I've really pushed up the quality of photos and paid for some impressions.

I'll check my tags but what do you think it normally takes in time to get things going?

Depends on what people are looking for actually. But the more you have the more people you will bring into your shop. Jewelry is a highly competitive area on Etsy. So best thing I can tell you is to look around at others who carry the same thing as you do and see what they are doing to bring people in. And tags are important.

I didn't know what you are selling in this listing until I read the description. Your titles and tags need to say what the product is, so definitely add pendant in there. Also, for your tags use phrases:

- silver pendant
- amethyst pendant
- star pendant
- star fish pendant etc.

My SEO could use a lot of work, I use way too many repetitive phrases in the titles, which doesn't sit well with google but it brings me a lot of traffic through Etsy search.

Other than SEO, I would say you need more listings. I know it takes time to make that much stuff but I noticed the more I list, the more I sell.

I'm pretty sure someone that knows more about these things will offer their opinion soon.

Barbara, a lot of sellers think they can just list a page and start selling, but it isn't that way here. As ivana said, its very saturated. You must keep listing. But the biggest thing you need to do is study SEO. You are not going to be found otherwise. This listing- absolutely no searchable words in the title.

I also think you have a product people would like if they could find it. Like others have said, change your SEO , and I also think increasing your inventory and,sorry to say, getting your first photos on a more clear white background for the first photos will help draw in buyers.
