Twitter Lockouts

Hi Team!

Please report any Twitter Lockouts below whether or not you are auto-retweeting with the Team or using EtsySocial. Tracking what's happening will be helpful to finding a solution.

In addition, I will be working with our app developer, to see if it is something the app is doing that's triggering the lockouts. And of course, if anyone has any ideas, please feel free to share!

Thank you Lari, I got that email too UGH. I am back on line after a mess for four days. I continue to retweet #emnttM on my twitter @SwirlingOrangeE thru tweet deck. I have a list for manual retweets on this twitter account.

If you'd like to be on this list, please post your @ twitter name here (on this thread) and I will add you to the list.

This is a great team and we have many who have been here since the very beginning, let's keep it going until Clarissa can work out a solution/work around for the auto tweeting.

Oh MY! I just read, or tried to read and understand, all the new Twitter rules. I copied the above #emnttM list, and am now going on TweetDeck to find your latest tweet for each one of you ... and retweet it.

Is this going to get me in trouble? As Iong as I only do it one time, I'm thinking that it won't. But I'm still SCARED!

I read somewhere, I don't remember where, that the same tweets posted on different twitter accounts with at least 72 hours/3 days in between them is NOT a violation of their new rules. Anyone else see this?

I just got off TweetDeck tweeting everyone except Anne ... forgot her, sorry Anne, I will go back in and retweet you now. The thing is, I noticed that unless I retweeted with a "comment", the retweet seemed to just go out without saying that I was retweeting it (in the Manual EmnttM column). It showed me doing it in my "User" column, but not where I wanted it to show ... so you might NOT even know that I retweeted each and every one of you. THEREFORE, I went back and did another retweet for each of you ... WITH a comment ... and now it shows that I have done that. But I just find this STRANGE! Why would it not show that I had been retweeting you in the Manual emnttM column?

Bonnie, I was wondering if clicking the heart, manually on twitter, might serve the same purpose? I think it boosts the tweet on twitter too.

Let's test it out, maybe click heart on one tweet of each person who uses the manual tag? I will try this tomorrow.

Just got off TweetDeck. I retweeted our whole #emnttM team. I started out with JKCJewelry and merely hearted my retweet ... without a comment by me. In my "Manual emnttM column on TweetDeck, my retweet of JKCJewelry did NOT show up by hearting them with no comment on my retweet. SO ... I retweeted the rest of our manual retweet team with a comment ... which you all should be able to view. At least they show up for me.

After tonight, I'm checking out for the weekend! Going to a big ballroom swing event in York Pennsylvania with a bunch of dancers from our dance studio here in Virginia. Have a great weekend everyone. **** Oh ... and by the way, I hearted each of my retweets too.

We are using the #emnttM hashtag to manually retweet one another.

Hope you all are finding the list and the hashtag working. I have not logged in every day, but about 4 times a week and am retweeting AND clicking the heart on the tweet to show they have been tweeted.

I believe clicking the little heart on retweets boosts the tweet itself if I am not mistaken.

Hey all,

To make sure there are no "AUTO" retweets going on, let's all HEART the tweets we retweet. I believe this boosts the tweets as well.

As I mentioned, I have some ideas for twitter specifically and wonder who uses twitter as their main social media. I use twitter primarily, and instagram about once or twice a week (when I have time and new items to post) but I think twitter's change in rules can work in our favor if we utilize it correctly.

I am just keeping an eye on who is actually MANUALLY retweeting as that is the purpose of the #emnttM hashtag.

I will check in over the weekend, probably Sunday as I have more time. Please convo me here if you have any questions or suggestions.

Hoping Clarissa Chimes in here soon, and all is well.

I just manually retweeted everyone on our emnttM list ... WITH COMMENTS saying what I like about your product. I actually LOOK at all your tweeted items, even if you don't include a photo in your tweet ... then I physically go to your shop and view it. I find it quite interesting to see what y'all are doing! :) Plus, I hearted each of my retweets for you. Hope this helps! I'm trying! Oh ... Swirling Orange ... Twitter is basically my only source for social media. I Instagram only when I have a new product.

I just retweeted everyone on the emnttM list again ... except BsCozyCottageCrafts. Cozy Cottage ... I went to your retweets, and scrolled down, and scrolled down, again, again, and again, and finally gave up. I could never find your product! So we can retweet you easily, please have one of your own tweets interspaced at least after every 10 retweets, maximum. When retweeting our whole team, we don't have time to go searching and searching. I have the team list in front of me and I go right down the list. I'm sorry that I couldn't retweet you tonight.

I only see about four people using the hashtag. Lets heart our retweets on Twitter (not hearting on etsy) to be sure these are manual tweets as some are still being auto tweeted.

Has anyone heard from Clarissa? I hope she is okay, I wrote and have not heard back.

Just an update here:

I have written Clarissa twice and have not heard back, I am hoping all is okay. This list of manual retweets #emnttM is only Temporary until Clarissa gets the app working or a work around for all of us.

To use the #emnttM hashtag, please HEART ON TWITTER NOT ON ETSY (when you retweet there is a little heart to click) so that we can identify who is actually "manually" retweeting as there are still several automated retweets which defeats the purpose.

I usually post a few tweets every other day as this is only a temporary fix to keep the team unified until we hear back from Clarissa.

I am adding JKC to the #emnttM list on @swirlingorangeE twitter profile now :)

OK! I just retweeted everyone from the above, updated list, crazy fast, before running off to the dance studio. I'm trying to stay more on top of this. The only person AGAIN that I couldn't retweet was/is BiancaSteinfeld because I kept clicking and clicking down her list of retweets, after about 15 or more, still not finding one of HER products. Bianca ... I am trying to retweet you, but I am often pressed for time. Please post one of your own tweets between your retweeting ... at least every 10th one, so I can find something of yours. Again, I am retweeting everyone with COMMENTS, highlighting your product ... and also hearting it ... all from my TweetDeck account.
