I was receiving lots of RT's a week or so ago now a lot less. Could it be my posting times?

HI L! I took a look and notice that you're product listing tweets is very low, only 9-10 tweets in almost two weeks!

You have 15 products and each one should be tweeted at least once a day with the team's hashtag. Those are the tweets that will be retweeted via roundteam.

You don't have to give them a credit card to sign-up and after the trial you can pay via paypal month to month, if you want to keep it, for 4.95 mo. (less if you pay quarterly or yearly). You will want to keep it.

I am new and have been receiving retweets. Signed up for all three programs, as suggested. They make things easy. The nly complaint I have is that many of the team members do not follow back.

Hi Lynn! Yes, following back is an ongoing challenge that I will continue to be address...gross offenders do get booted from the team's twitter!

However the good news is that follow backs aside, your following will continue to grow via the team! So please be good and follow back don't be like the bad kids!! :)

In the meantime if members don't follow back and you feel you want to request a follow back or unfollow them to keep your twitter tidy that's totally up to you.

When I tweet I average 9-12 retweets per post, which is okay. When I started out I was manually retweeting, but felt I was probably missing some people. I signed up for Round Team so I wasn't missing others posts and thought it had been working great. Until last night when I was looking at my feed. I had retweeted over 60 tweets for one person and they weren't spread out of 24 hrs. I just counted and 12 hrs ago, they posted 30 consecutive tweets. I think when I repost them, it makes me look spammy too, so now no more Round Team and back to doing it manual, sorry if I miss anyone now. Oh and in that say time frame they posted over 60 tweets, they only retweeted 4 with Etsymnt.

Hi Michelle Took a look and see what you mean!! Below are the settings/filters that i think will fix the problem. You can test the new settings via the "dry run" option (which doesn't actually post to twitter).

Teams - Followed - from:etsymeetntweet
min rt interval - 15
no of hashtags - 3
no conversations
no RTs
max per hr - 8 (or whatever your comfortable with)

Now that's five filters the maximum allowed (on free accounts). If you do the "dry run", that's a filter, so you will have to sub out one of the above filters while your testing. sub out "min rt interval"

Manual of course is fine but roundteam in conjunction with manual is such a time saver. And you don't have to be perfect and retweet everyone...it's a team effort. I rt you, you rt someone who rt'd me! As long as we are all being retweeted.

I finally decided to 'tidy up' my Twitter and unfollow those not following me. I was surprised to find that 34 out of 146 we're not following back. That's almost 25% which I think is a lot since that is one of the stipulations of being on the team and a number of those are people I'ver been tweeting regularly.

Yes and ultimately they will be losing out...and it's so easy to stay current...just follow back.

I do think, however, and I hate to say it, but 25% might be an improvement! I've had to remove a number of people but I for one am happy for us to be a dedicated few--with an ever growing following! (Love seeing nonmembers follow the whole team.)

So we keep doing what we're doing...and getting bigger and stronger. :)

I just got the RoundTeam going I'm hoping that will start some re-tweeting of team members for me. I'm going to watch closely as I really don't want to loose followers because of 'spam' like posting. I tend to tweet anywhere between 2-3 times a day and find that (prior to joining this team) I got decent response depending on my hashtags and @'s.

Hey Clarissa... a thought (off topic) on a couple of teams I'm a member of we have a "hows it going chat" thread that renews every Monday (to a new thread to keep it manageable). It helps us all stay in touch a bit. No requirement but can be helpful if a new tip comes up or someone wants to highlight something. (just a thought that we might benefit from something like this). It can be chosen to be a 'general life' chat or just a 'business/etsy' related chat. I prefer business ones but that is just me.

Hi Mel! It's funny you should say that about a how's it going chat! I was working on one today!!...a status check to see how everyone's doing but I like the idea of it being weekly.

A couple of attempts have been made but I would really like to see this happen. In particular, i would like to be more clued in on how everyone's doing with getting traffic into their shops. I see people doing different things (from what's suggested in the quick start guide) and I have no idea if what they're doing is working for them or if they are missing out.

I'll start something next week and will start this week putting the word out.

Now about your roundteam...

In the beginning you might have some flight but maybe think of it as growing pains because your following will grow.

To really get traffic into you shop via twitter you have to tweet listings/links back to your shop. The more listings you have and tweet, the more traffic you'll get.

but in order not to come across spammy you'll need other types of tweets like the quotes from the team's twitter and all the team chatter.

here are some numbers to consider...

24 product tweets (1 an hour via etsy-fu) with 6-20 retweets from the team plus some of your followers to average 300+ retweets per day generating 600-700 listing views per day.

Yet I see people posting 10 or more tweets of their products an hour! but i don't know...maybe that's working for them. Maybe their getting 1200 views a day from that...or may they're just spinning their wheels?

That's why a regular 'how's it going' meeting would be great!

If so, we'll just need to tweak the filters:

min rt interval - 10-15 mins recommended
max tweet per hour
max hashtags - 3 recommneded
no @conversations - recommended
no RTs - recommended

The first few days that I was signed up for the team, I was getting several retweets from others on the team. Now I'm not really getting any. Am I doing something wrong? I am still retweeting for others on the team and I am following everyone.....

I'm not signed up for roundteam or anything. I prefer to manually retweet.

I see what you mean! Something happened around the 17th...but I'm not sure what's going on.

But let's start with ruling out that for some reason you've been blacklisted by roundteam. Why you would be I don't know but if you are it's an easy fix

Just send them this note:

"I am a member of the Etsy Team EtsyMeetNTweet, please reference Clarissa Mack, TwentyAndUnder (formerly HashtagPendants).

Can you please let me know if I have been blacklisted?"

Then give them your Twitter username.

Do this right away. In the meantime i'll retweet you manually.

I don't use roundteam I do all of the retweeting myself. I like to look at the items of the teammates. This helps me to feel like I know them as we chat amongst ourselves in twitter world. I know that it I will be getting roundteam eventually but for right now I do it this way. When I go into twitter I search the hashtag #etsymnt which brings up all tweets with this attached to it and I just retweet from there. Then I go into my home and hit the ones that do not have the hashtag that I remember from the list but what I am seeing is that all the team members are not adding the hashtag which means that they may not be getting tweeted at all. I also tweet 3 of my items in the morning and 3 items at night. Am I missing something?

Clarissa, sounds good on a bit of a team chat. It would likely be just like this thread; troubleshooting, tips, traffic discussion.

I've noticed good retweets and I'm reetqeeting via round team.
I have some tweets I haven't included #etsymnt hash tag as they are usually to bloggers I have pay ads or deals with. I could definitely see potential reasons to not use the hash tag but I'd say 80% of the time using the team would be best.
I also started with a twitter app that shows me who doesn't follow back and things. It's called Unfollow Me (I think) and is an interesting little application. I've just started with it but quite like it so far. Might be something that will help others.

@Toni Yes, I checked your twitter and all i could see was team retweets and had to scroll and scroll to find tweets from you and even then i had to go to tweetdeck and do a special search to find your product listing tweets!

By only tweeting listings 6 times a day you're missing out on hundreds of listing views in your shop.

Here is the team formula that is emerging...

ROUGHLY...

24/7 listing tweets via etsy-fu - 1 tweet per hour - using the #etsymnt hashtag will get 8-20+ retweets generating 20-30+ shop listing views per hour for approximately 400-700 listing/shop views a day

the more listings you have the better

etsy-fu + our #etsymnt + roundteam + all the team effort w/manual rts is really working.

About our hashtag, for ones product listings 100%! I see people not using and I'm wondering why? Non team members have even figured it out..which so far is not a big deal...but have to keep an eye on that.

Thank so much Clarissa, that's exactly what I needed to know. Yes, I believe that it's time to join everyone in the 21st Century and start using the roundteam and etsyfu and tweetdeck. Twitter allows you 1000 tweets a day but that's not what you want to do! :D

I suggest no more than 12 an hour, 1-2 shop listings mixed in between retweets, quotes, shout outs, thank you's and such

you seem to have a nice flow going but you're not being retweeted and I'm not sure why.

Let me do some more checking...
