Our New Hashtag AND RoundTeam Settings! - Pls Update ASAP!!!

Hi Team!

In light of our recent/ongoing battle with our hashtag abuser, your teamies and I have been testing out a new team hashtag and retweet system with the goal of having greater control over who we retweet.

In fact, with this new system, we will only retweet each other. Anyone outside the team using our new hashtag will not be automatically retweeted by us!

Plus, I believe the new system will help to distribute our retweets more equitably across the team.

However, even with the testing, this is still a "try and see how it goes"...hopefully, we won't need to do any tweaking. So, fingers crossed and without further ado...

You'll find our NEW ROUNDTEAM SETTINGS for our new hashtag by following the link below to our new Team Guide--a work in progress:

We will be using the "LIST" option on Roundteam. Please DELETE any team settings you may have for "Followed" and "Followers" including for both the old & new hashtags.

The set up is super quick and easy! The screen shots show you exactly what to do. So, please update your RoundTeam settings as soon as possible over the next few days. Eventually, the old hashtag will not get retweeted.

Just changed settings, I have also added the Profanity filter to mine, thought I would mention in case anyone wanted to add to their settings too so they are not retweeting tweets containing bad language obviously a personal thing.

I use Etsy-Fu but think I might wait a day or two for people to reset their Roundteam before I change the # in my settings, and thanks again Clarissa , hopefully this will stop this rude man and others like him abusing our goodwill .

Thanks Clarissa, I have updated my roundteam settings accordingly. Like Anne, I will be manually tweeting the new hashtag over the next few days allowing the team to catch up before I make the switch on etsy-fu

I just went on tweetdeck and tried to manually retweet some team mates using #etsymntt for their tag. I am receiving an error message on most of the tweets."Sorry we could not perform your retweet. This tweet is protected".

Odd... Anyone know what is going on with that?

Tweetdeck has been compromised. Evening news claims the site has fixed the issue. This was @ 5:14pm. Anyone have any problems with this?

@craftyshmantcy Hi just followed you from the teams twitter and added you to the retweet list but i suggest holding off using the hashtag til we get you whitelisted on roundteam so you don't get blacklisted but in anycase I'm sending them a list tomorrow...you should be good to go by friday.

I do use Etsy-fu so I will inform them of the new hashtag. I take it that this new hashtag is up and running as of now? Thanks for all your help. I do RT as many as possible on a regular basis and will continue to do so.

any advice do tell me. no sales for the past two months!

Hi Janet!

With the new system it's going to be important that everyone using etsy-fu or any other means to regularly tweet with #etsymntt also use Roundteam.

This is because regular use generates a volume of retweets that would be too much for a person to manually retweet upwards of 300 retweets a day.

However we do need that sort of consistency in order for there to be enough retweets to go around. Roundteam provides that consist flow of retweets.

Plus, with roundteam, you don't have to worry about it.

And you are already whitelisted :)

Re: the sales lul...i find it helps to either post new listings or renew a few even if they haven't yet expired. New Listings/Renewals get you back on the first page, even if it temporary and it gets you back in front of people who favorite your shop.

OK, I'm officially confused.

The good news: early this morning I tweeted twice about an hour apart and both tweets were retweeted resulting in lots of of views. Yay!!!

The bad news: I tweeted again later in the morning 30 minute to 90 minutes apart, and those tweets were not retweeted. (In one case I forgot to add the extra t in the #etsymntt) I don't think I'm spamming.

What am I doing wrong?

What am I misunderstanding?
