EtsySocial Retweet Test!!

Team I am beyond excited for us to start testing our new auto-retweet app!!!

The set up for the test is very simple:

Step 1. Signed into your EtsySocial account: http://etsysocial.com
(if your account is not active, just let me know and I'll renew you)

Step 2. Set up the Auto-Retweet - follow this link: http://etsysocial.com/admin/retweet

Fill in:
1. Team's Twitter Username: etsymeetntweet
2. Team Retweet List: etsymntt
3. Team Hash Tag: #etsymntt

WHAT WE ARE TESTING FOR:
The main objective for this test is to determine if the app is behaving the way we need it to. ie is it...

1. posting a max of 10 retweets an hour to our Twitter accounts?
2. posting in a minimum of 5 min intervals?
3. only posting team # retweets from our Team Twitter List?
4. retweeting 1 team # tweet per member per hour?*
5. filtering out profanity (we don't need to test this one :D just know the developer is working on building a very long list of bad words!)

(* this rule is to protect us from having our hashtag abused...along with rule no. 2... the goal is that even if someone posted 5 #tweets in an hour only one would get retweeted.)

IMPORTANT Please Note: With this test you may or may not see an increase in your tweets being retweeted since we are using our main twitter lists of 223 members. We're testing with this list first so that the app has a large pool of retweets to pull from.

The next test we do will be with a new smaller list and then we will see ourselves being retweeted. Depending on this first test, we should be ready for the second test by the middle of the week! ...and maybe by this time next week, we will be implement Team wide and get this party started!!! (but we will talk about a new team hashtag before then).

@Clarissa ~ my Etsy Social is set up as you instructed and I did just activate it so should I be seeing retweets now? I did check last night and not one of my tweets has been retweeted ... hoping I can be put on the list for the test as I have seen my twitter stats go way down ... also as a note ... i still am manually retweeting and each time I do I click the heart on twitter to let both myself and the person being retweeted know that I have done this manually.

I wonder if "hearting on twitter" improves views/retweets or whatever .... anyone know?

Clarissa can you let me know if I am on the list as of today?

Did I make it to the list? I am still trying to figure out how to monitor if I am being retweeted, I am feeling really out of the loop here. I did set up the etsy social dot net thing as instructed and have my tweets set up on etsy social and even have @etsysocial in some of my tweets and instagram posts but not sure how to monitor it as I don't see it on tweet deck grrrr I need the dunce cap to go sit in the corner. UGH

I am NOT being retweeted I have checked through, checked my notifications and checked the last 10 tweets and I have not seen the kind of numbers you a re talking about Patrice. I work outside etsy today but hoping Clarissa can jump in and let me know what team or list I am on and if the correct twitter name is being used @swirlingorange1 ... I am frustrated ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you all for the updates! I am excited to see our new items getting retweeted! The developer as written code to delete tweets older than 48 hours!

He's working on just a couple more rules but I think by Wednesday we will be ready to test with more Team members!

One question, since my EtsySocial trial period is up in a few days: Does the pricing listed for EtsySocial include this new retweeting app, or is there going to be a separate charge for it?

I just want to make sure I sign up and pay for everything before my trial period is up. Or, if there will be charges for the retweeting app added later, I want to make sure I set a reminder to check for it - I'm prone to forgetting things without multiple reminders!

Amy, those prices you see are going to change. Over the next couple days I will be restructuring the subscription so that it's $30 for the year and that includes auto-retweeting. That will be in place before you trial ends and will let you and the Team know when it's all set.

And for anyone who recently renewed their subscription, your days will be extended to reflect the new pricing.
