Our EtsySocial Auto Retweet App is Ready!!!

Hi Team!

As many of you know, we have been without our auto-retweeting since around this time last year when RoundTeam changed their subscription plans. And just recently we tried a new app TeamSocial but it too was not the right fit for us.

We needed an app that could deliver a pretty high volume of retweets but at a reasonable price point. That's when it became quite clear to us that we needed our own thing!

And I am happy to announce that we now have our own Auto-Retweet app built into my EtsySocial site. Our app has been tried and tested and is up and running! It will auto-retweet us via one Team Twitter list bringing us all back together again!!

So Team, below in the next post, you will find instructions for setting up your auto-retweet!

Set-up Instructions for Auto-Retweeting the Team:

Step 1. Sign Up for or log into your EtsySocial account: etsysocial.com

There is a 7 day free trial for new accounts and three subscription plans:

$4.50 monthly - $10.50 quarterly - $30 annually

Here is the link if you don’t see it in your EtsySocial dashboard: http://etsysocial.com/admin/subscribe

Step 2. Authorize Your Twitter - If you’re setting up a new subscription or haven’t done it already, you will need to authorize your Twitter – Go to your EtsySocial dashboard and click the “Auto Tweet” tab.

Step 3. Follow this link: etsysocial.com/admin/retweet and fill in the following fields as shown below:

1. Team's Twitter Username: etsymeetntweet
2. Team Retweet List: etsymntt
3. Team Hash Tag: #etsymntt

Step 4. Check the ‘Activate’ Box

How to GET RETWEETED by the Team: Once you’ve set up your auto-retweeting,

1. let me know below and I will add you to the Team’s Twitter list: https://twitter.com/etsymeetntweet/lists/etsymntt/members

2. be sure you have your tweets posting with the Team #etsymntt – 1 tweet per hour


Please note: You can use the Auto-Tweet feature on EtsySocial to schedule your tweet or continue to use whichever service you’re already using.

Hi Clarissa,

I've been off the grid for a while. I just set up on Etsy Social. I think I did it correctly. I am not well versed in Twitter and auto tweets. IA few questions:
When messages auto tweet, and it gets to the last one, does it recirculate. I hope I'm asking this correctly. Also, how many hashtags are best? Should I add more for descriptions? I don't like to get wordy.

Michele, yes, your auto-tweets will cycle back around. You want to post at least 24 so that you have full days worth. They will post one per hour.

For the tweet - I like to include a few descriptive words from my title w/ a few keyword hashtags along with the team hashtag of course! I think that makes an interesting tweet.

I setup the etsy social account and I was retweeted around 24-25 times from the team last night. I tweeted two new tweets this morning and got only 3 tweets each.. I rechecked my setup 2x and everything looks right. Something is not working right and I am wondering what changed? Any tips on how to troubleshoot?

Yes, we need to only do once per hour for the number to work. I have the developer working on building it into the program as a check so that we don't have to think about.
