EtsySocial Retweet Test!!

Team I am beyond excited for us to start testing our new auto-retweet app!!!

The set up for the test is very simple:

Step 1. Signed into your EtsySocial account: http://etsysocial.com
(if your account is not active, just let me know and I'll renew you)

Step 2. Set up the Auto-Retweet - follow this link: http://etsysocial.com/admin/retweet

Fill in:
1. Team's Twitter Username: etsymeetntweet
2. Team Retweet List: etsymntt
3. Team Hash Tag: #etsymntt

WHAT WE ARE TESTING FOR:
The main objective for this test is to determine if the app is behaving the way we need it to. ie is it...

1. posting a max of 10 retweets an hour to our Twitter accounts?
2. posting in a minimum of 5 min intervals?
3. only posting team # retweets from our Team Twitter List?
4. retweeting 1 team # tweet per member per hour?*
5. filtering out profanity (we don't need to test this one :D just know the developer is working on building a very long list of bad words!)

(* this rule is to protect us from having our hashtag abused...along with rule no. 2... the goal is that even if someone posted 5 #tweets in an hour only one would get retweeted.)

IMPORTANT Please Note: With this test you may or may not see an increase in your tweets being retweeted since we are using our main twitter lists of 223 members. We're testing with this list first so that the app has a large pool of retweets to pull from.

The next test we do will be with a new smaller list and then we will see ourselves being retweeted. Depending on this first test, we should be ready for the second test by the middle of the week! ...and maybe by this time next week, we will be implement Team wide and get this party started!!! (but we will talk about a new team hashtag before then).

Just checked again right now and noticed there have been 14 retweets this hour. Also, I keep retweeting one user who is not in the etsymntt list but is using the team hashtag.

I can see my automatic tweets every 5 hours. Am I supposed to be retweeting teamied myself or should EtsySocial be doing it on my behalf? I don't see any retweets by me. I am getting occasional retweets of my tweets from the same few team members? Not many. Should I expect more?

My tweets are getting 2 RTs from the auto retweet app. In the meantime, I am RTing people for the #etsymntt tag but also those who don't have it. There is someone who uses our hashtag some of the time she literally posts every 5 minutes. (She sells "silk" rose petals) and I have automatically RTed her about 3x with and without the team hashtag. I have been also RTing others without a team hashtag automatically, some of whom don't even have an Etsy shop.

i know I'm being a bit slow on the uptake here but Should I be manually retweeting those tweets with our hashtag?

Jan, write to Clarissa directly to ask your question ... but I would suspect (and what I am doing) is that during this testing time of the new app, we should not do anything manually, but let the new app do it's work so that we can see exactly what it is or isn't doing. I'm not saying that I'm totally correct, but that is my asumption.

Yes, CraftySchmantcy, I'm noticing the same thing. The "silk rose petal lady" somehow I retweeted automatically and she isn't even displaying our #etsymntt. Don't know how this is happening with our new app. I went in and "undid" the retweet from my "user" column. For those that may not know, the three dots under the photo in the tweet, if you click on those, you can "undo retweet", which I have now done that on several which are NOT team members. Also you can BLOCK someone. I don't know how/why our new app is retweeting some that aren't even displaying #etsymntt. One shop that sells mother/daughter gifts displayed #etsyretwt and #etsyshop. Why did the app retweet her? I UNDID her retweet from my column.

I blocked the rose petal lady years ago but because she was filling up my column in tweedeck. I couldn't see anyone else's tweets. I still wound up retweeting her.

One other thing I noticed is that a lot of my auto retweets are of tweets from days earlier. I saw one that I retweeted an hour or two ago was originally tweeted 4 days ago, another few were 2 days ago. I don't know if that might help the developer solve an issue, or just give them more headaches, but...<fingers crossed>

I am still confused ... I use tweetdeck but have a few accounts and have a column set up for #Etsymntt under @swirlingO11 I thought I had the columns set up right but now I am MORE confused!!!

I need to double check the columns on tweetdeck to make sure I am getting retweeted and retweeting correctly as I have been doing MANUAL retweets for MONTHS ... have not seen my tweets retweeted thru etsysocial for months ... mine expires end of august too.

I noticed I was retweeting the petal lady too so I unfollowed her and then blocked her. I thought I did this yesterday but I still see I tweeted her. I'll try it again.
From TweetDeck, I am retweeting tweets from as much as 5 days ago but nothing for the current day.

Your tweedeck column will excude anyone you block. But the app does't work off of your Tweedeck columns, it works of off Twitter feeds directly looking for the hashtag and the account tweeting.

As I was looking at my "User@BonnieLouLane" Column, Jamie Van Oort popped up as I was watching ... showing 4d, then Not Mom's Embroidery - 3d, then The Beaded Cat's Eye - 2d, then The Beaded Cat's Eye AGAIN, 3d, then Joyful by Nature, 11h, my listing - 52 m, me again - 1 hr, then Patrice Allison - 2 d, then Natalie @ShabVintage (petal lady) 4d

I wonder why the retweets bounce around from 4 days to 1,2 or 3, then retweet me at 52 m ago, and also 1 hour ago ... those are close ... or maybe the display of the minutes isn't accurate? It seems like there is a lot of bouncing around in the retweeting. It's rather odd.

I have been using TeamSocial with other teams and I see the same thing there, Your tweets are not retweeted by 5, 10, 20 etc people right away or within the first 10 minutes of posting like in RoundTeam. You get all your RTs over a 48 hour window.

Maybe this system works like that too.

I think my tweets with the #etsymntt hashtag are only being retweeted by @gaylecraig17 and @ErikaPrice. And I seem to be mostly retweeting CraftySchmantcy, Lilyspad58, BeadedCatsEye, and ozencS, with a few random other ones sprinkled in. And about half of the auto retweeting going out from my account still don't have the #etsymntt hashtag.
