#1 - Testing Treasuries!

Go to "etsy.com/treasury" and check the translations on the site. Perform a search for treasurys (with a Dutch search term, perhaps!) and sort the search result in different ways; click to view one treasury. Navigate to the Treasury before and after that using the buttons top right. Favorite and un-favorite it and see how the button behaves.

Click on "Jouw Treasurys", check what you see there and then on "Maak een lijst". Click on "Samenstellen voor de Europese homepages" and use the test function to make a Treasury for the European homepages.

When you perform searches or make your treasuries, make sure you do lots of things "wrong" - i.e., enter impossible search terms, curate a treasury without a title, ignore the European Treasury guidelines and click "Controle". In short, do all you would and wouldn't do. And then leave your feedback here!

Re: #1 - Testing Treasuries!

"Sorteer op Hip" sounds weird to me. (I think it's sort by trending in English).
Alternative, maybe Sorteer op populariteit

Also don't like the word "winkelgalerij" in the description of what a treasury is.
(Een steeds veranderende, door leden samengestelde winkelgalerij)
I would prefer something along the lines of: Door leden samengestelde collecties.

On the page of making a treasury, the text about curating for the European homepage makes it sound that if you follow those guidelines, your treasury will be on the homepage for sure. When really, it's just as chance to be featured.
(Als je wil dat jouw lijst op de Etsyhomepage komt te staan, volg dan deze tips:)
It should say something like: Wil je kans maken om met jouw treasury op de voorpagina te verschijnen, volg dan deze tips:

The third tip doesn't make any sense. basically it says "Decorate it." (versier het). In English this was "Make it beautiful!"

For the European FP check, it didn't show me (by red colour) which is the item that cannot be sent to Europe. I had to click of all of them to find the one item that wouldn't ship here. But for the other requirement (8 items from Europe) it did show in red (very useful)

Re: #1 - Testing Treasuries!

I agree with the above. Hip is certainly not synonym for trendy anymore here.

Maybe a bit long, but Dutch sometimes needs more words. 'Door leden samengestelde collecties' sounds good to me.

Next remark from Ilse, agree. Only one thing: There is 'je' and 'jouw' in Dutch. Too many times jouw is used when it is not necessary. This may be one example.

Third if English says make it beautiful we have a perfect phrase for that in Dutch: Maak er iets moois van!

Re: #1 - Testing Treasuries!

Hi, I've looked at the translations under Treasury and I have the following suggestions:

* a 'curator' in Dutch is a legal term for someone who is appointed at a guardianship - an alternative is 'samensteller' or 'beheerder' or simply 'maker'

* 'curator hulpmiddelen' would better be 'treasury hulpmiddelen'

* a 'circle' can be translated by 'kring'

* under statistics 'bewonderaar' remains singular - if there are no or more than one is should be plural 'bewonderaars'

* if you click 'bewonderaar' it says: 'wie heeft dit toegevoegd aan favorieten' - it should say 'deze' (treasury / lijst) in stead (iso) of 'dit'

Then under 'maak een lijst', the 'richtlijnen':

Under European homepages:

* suggestion: 'Voor het samenstellen van Europese homepages'
iso 'Samenstellen voor de Europese homepages'

* suggestion: 'Wil je dat jouw lijst op de Europese homepages komt? Volg dan deze richtlijnen:'
iso 'Als je wil dat jouw lijst op de Europese homepage wordt geplaatst, hebben we een aantal tips voor je:'
(they're requirements, right?)

* suggestion: 'Alle items moeten naar Europa verstuurd kunnen worden.'
iso 'Alle items moeten naar Europa verstuurd worden.'

* the button should say 'controleer' iso 'controle' (just like 'reageer' under this comment iso 'reactie')

Under 'jouw treasuries':

* 'Treasuries van ...name... op Etsy'
iso 'Treasuries beheerd door ...name... op Etsy'

Hope this is of help to you. I'm an editor and Dutch writing that's correct and pleasant to read is my trade. If you like I can look at more translations. :)
