Wanelo: getting started, tips, tricks and more

Wanelo is quickly becoming the "next Pinterest". I've been lucky enough to have gotten some not-to-shabby traffic from it and it might be a good idea for your shop, too!

Well, here's some good news!

I just made a sale. Nothing serious, but a nice little sale.

And I confirmed that it came from Wanelo!

The buyer found the item on Wanelo and opened an Etsy account THE SAME DAY just to buy the item from my Etsy shop!

So I can definitely say, yes, Wanelo can help with sales.

Not bad for free advertising!!!

Is there a way to delete things off of the collections? I can't seem to find any way to move things around other than resaving it onto another collection, but it stays in the original collection as well...

@Kristel: Open up one of your collections. If you move your mouse over it, you should see a little trash can appear in the lower right corner. Click it and it should delete the item from your collection.

If you have the item in multiple collections, I believe you'll need to delete from every collection you have it in.

@FunkyFindsOfOhio Thank you! Wanelo seems to be giving me trouble with Internet Explorer (or at least the version I have with win 8.1) so I cannot save the wanelo shortcut button and the trashcan wasn't appearing. However, when I hovered, as you said, I did see a little black box appear in the corner where I assumed the trashcan should have shown up. I click it and viola! Thank you - I'd have never known that black box was supposed to be a trashcan :)
By the way, I started following your store :) Thanks again for the info!

Do you have any tips for getting followers? I've been on about a year and have only recently got two followers. In contrast, I've been on Polyvore less than a month and have over 200 followers. So far, I'm using the same strategies in both places as I would use on Pinterest.

I have been on Wanelo for a while now and have had some views from it. I think you are right it is not as big as Pinterest but growing. It is easy to use and it's free.
