Monthly Woodworker's Challenge...........................

There is nothing like the drive of a good challenge. I thought this would be a great way for everyone here to be involved in the team in a small way; simple and/or extravagant challenges. I for one need a good challenge from time to time.

With out Alchemy request's I have not expanded my mind to what I could make and how to make it (not that I ever won a bid through alchemy). Friends and family bring small challenges here and there and are fun and creative, but I would like to pose challenges within the Etsy Woodworkers Team.

My plan/hope is that each month someone will post a new challenge and we as woodworker's will approach the challenge in our own unique wonderful way.
After wards, we can post them here in the discussions as a way to see everyone's talent and............perhaps a little extra advertising.

Since we are a good way through March I will start off with the simplest yet most salable item:

I'm very new to Etsy and this is my first team so I hope I get this right. I just finished this new board design last weekend and posted it yesterday.

We're in our first year on Etsy, and having fun!

Bruce does the cutting boards and lazy susans. (check out the link below). I sometimes consult on wood choices, etc, if I'm not up to my elbows in scroll saw dust.

Our only issue with the end grain cutting boards is that there is, infrequently, the one that warps. Wish some wise person could tell us how to solve that issue.

Cool boards, Mine just needs a coat of mineral oil and I will post it, likely this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

In the meantime, we need a new challenge for April. First person that posts the new idea earns we will go with that!! Thanks for the support so far!!

Here is my entry for a cutting board. It was fun to make an item from a new style. Not as nice as the previous entries but still good enough for the girlfriend say she doesn't want it to leave the house/kitchen. I told her she has a 2-3 months. If no-one buys it at the finished price then she get's to keep it!!
