How do I change this?

Hey all-

I just noticed that the email address that displays on my EW account is both out-of-date and different from the email address that is linked to my regular Etsy account.

I don't see a place to update or change this. Can anyone help?

Hi Charlie!

It sounds like you'd like to update the email address that you originally added to your application.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to edit this email address. Please note that only members who purchase from you can see this email address, and it only appears on the receipt. Otherwise, all email correspondences from Etsy for your Wholesale notifications go to the email address attached to your Etsy account - your retail and Wholesale account have the same email address.

If you'd like, you're welcome to add to your seller policies that members can contact you via your preferred email address, and list that for their knowledge. Additionally, you can always add your preferred email address of contact to an invoice when you're sending it to the buyer, so it appears on their invoice.

Your email address for Wholesale is the same email address that is on your retail shop. If you change this, it will affect your retail shop as well. To change your email address, sign in to your account and go to Your Account > Settings. Scroll down and fill out the "Change your email" form.

A confirmation email from changeemail@mail.etsy.com will be sent to your new email address. Once you click the approval link, your email address will be changed. If your email address is attached to another account, you'll receive an error message.

To clarify: My preferred email is reflected on my retail Etsy account, but the email on my wholesale account is out of date. I understand that folks will only see it after they've made a purchase on EW, but it seems like that might lead to confusion down the road (nothing worse than not hearing back from a potential vendor.)

Are there plans to make this editable in the future? It seems that, as new wholesale sellers start up on EW and grow their business, that info like this might change (ie, someone starts with an Etsy shop, joins EW, then buys a domain and wants to route inquiries through their domain email.) for lots of sellers, and that this should be editable on Etsy.

Thanks for clarifying. I might need to clarify myself as well!

Your retail account and wholesale account are held under your one email address, so any notifications (transactions, Convos, etc.) are sent to that up to date email address. This email address, associated with your account, is editable.

The one that buyers see after they purchase from you is currently not editable. However, making this changeable is a great idea, as I can understand how frustrating it would be to not hear back from a potential client if there's miscommunication on how to originally contact each other! I'm going to bring this suggestion up to our team during our next meeting to consider for future updates to the wholesale platform.

Suggestions like this are what help shape much of the wholesale side of things, so please let us know if you have any additional feedback!

Unfortunately, there still isn't a way for you as a member to change it at this time. I apologize for that inconvenience, but I'm happy to help change it for you on my end.
