I have two questions about business licenses in Va. 1) Do you need a business license just to sell on Etsy? 2) Do you need a business license if you are going to sell your items at a local craft fair/craft show? Thanks a bunch!
Hi Katie - This thread was in another VA Etsy team and you might find it helpful. Basically, you don't need a business license but if you are selling locally in VA, you will need to collect and pay state sales tax. Good luck!
Thanks for this info Holly! So I guess even if you don't have a business license you still register your "business" to pay state taxes and get and ID number? Sounds like filing each month will be a pain!
