Advice needed - paper size for printing digital prints - A4 or 8 x 10

Hello!

I'm hoping for some advice on paper size for digital prints, as I'm not sure which paper size I should be buying.

For the US, standard prints for framing seem to be 8 x 10". Standard paper in the UK is A4. Most of my customers are in the US.

From my research it appears I have a few options:

* print on A4 (widely available here) and allow the customer to cut it down to the correct size for an 8 x 10 frame (this might put off US customers)
* print on 8.5 x 11" which allows for a border when matted and framed in a 11 x 14" frame
* try to source 8 x 10" paper (which is proving a little difficult).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Charmaine

I think you're best bet is to buy A4 paper and cut it down to 8x10. I just use a ruler and a guillotine - measure twice, cut once as the proverb goes.
