which photo layout is best???

i'm feeling super frustrated...
i can't decide what layout looks the best?

so the big question is, which looks better? is it that every product listing is represented by a different photo (ie. different backgrounds/setting) or if every product listing has the same consistent background/setting?
i posted some of my listings with the same consistent background (light grey with the hand drawn bird skull and skeleton key as a sort of logo) and kept the other half the way i had it originally with all different settings....

when i look at the shop as a whole, i'm thinking it looks better with various different backgrounds for each product listing.
but when i search for my products, i tend to think that if i have the same "logo" somewhere in the photo it stands out more amongst all the other listings....

i'd rather not waste many more hours changing photos, as it is SUPER time consuming photographing, editing, and updatinging the listing on the computer...

so if some of you could check out my shop and let me know what you think, it would be much appreciated. i keep going back and forth and am ready to pull my hair out...
help?

For sure the various backgrounds are awesome! I find the gray ones are really dull but all your other listings the earrings really pop out. Your colors are so beautiful ! Stick with your originals they are great!

I am doing the same kind of thing right now with adding logos to all my photos and I am also torn if it is a good idea or not

I agree. You still do a really good job on looking consistent with the various backgrounds. It's interesting too!

Re: which photo layout is best???

yeah, you're right... they are dull looking.... thanks for the input! i appreciate it!

i think i will keep all the backgrounds different....

maybe if my logo was a lot smaller and just photoshopped in somewhere subtly? hmmm.... i wish i was better with photoshop ::sigh::

know if there's anyway for me to digitally cut and paste my logo from those pics, make the image smaller, and then paste it into new pics?

Re: which photo layout is best???

I love your earrings. They are just beautiful and unique. In my humble opinion, I think the photograph of the pheasant feather earrings (at this moment they are in the third row, 1st one on the left) is the best type to use. The back ground is color-coordinated with the feathers but it is very discrete and not distracting from the actual product being sold. The earrings themselves completely dominate that photo, using the full space to best advantage, and it is very easy for the buyer to see exactly what they look like. Then your 2nd through 5th photos of the item can show other views and I think one photo should always be of them actually hanging from an ear so the buyer can see how long they hang down when being worn.

I've heard it's better to have more consistent backgrounds, but I LOVE what you've done with yours- I like it the way it is, especially with the live model thrown in. I do agree the earrings should be larger, but great styling- that is not easy to do.....

Re: which photo layout is best???

i prefer the light color background, people foucs on the product, and remember take the photo under the sun- light, it would be more sharper!

The light backgrounds really make the colors pop and show off your beautiful earrings. I am not crazy about the gray background with logo - the dark color does not do anything to enhance your pieces and I find the logo distracting. So I would stay with brighter, lighter backgrounds.

Wow, what beautiful earrings you have! My favorite picture is this:

I actually really like the variety you have right now, though!

I like the ones with the frame as a prop. You could use a simple frame as a prop for your items, but I would stick with something simple because you dont want to take away from you pretty feather items which are full of color.
